Swabi
Swabi ( ps, صوابۍ; ur, ) is a city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan,Tehsils & Unions in the District of Swabi
located near the banks of the Indus River. It is the List of most populous cities in Pakistan, 73rd largest city of Pakistan and List of cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by population, eighth largest in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Swabi is also a key city in Mardan Division, where it is the second-largest city.


Demographics

According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, the city of Swabi had 123,412 inhabitants, making it the List of cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by population, eighth-largest city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These inhabitants were spread out among 16,212 households, making the average household size in Swabi 7.61.

Swabi District
Swabi District ( ps, سوابۍ ولسوالۍ, ur, ) is a district in the Mardan Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It lies between the Indus and Kabul Rivers. Before becoming a district in 1988, it was a tehsil within the Mardan District. % of the population speaks Pashto as their first language. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 1,625,477, of which 815,828 were males and 809,550 females. Rural population was 1,349,513 (83.02%) while the urban population was 275,964 (16.98%). The literacy rate was 59.06% - the male literacy rate was 73.99% while the female literacy rate was 44.35%. 1,086 people in the district were from religious minorities. The population of the district over the years is shown in the table below. At the time of the 2017 census, 95.49% of the population spoke Pashto and 2.93% Hindko as their first language. Mardan Division
Mardan Division is one of seven divisions in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It consists of two districts: Mardan and Swabi. According to the 2017 Pakistani Census, the division had a population of 3,997,667, making it the fourth-most populous division in the province, but it only spans of area, which makes it the smallest division by area in the province as well. Tordher
Tordher ( ur, ) is a town in the Swabi District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It is the second leading trading city in the district, after Swabi. The town is located on rich, alluvial soil. It is situated near the rivers Kabul and Indus. The city was incorporated as a municipality in 1998, when it had a population of 27,861. By 2017, it had grown to 41,420, which meant that the average annual population growth rate of the city was about 2.1% during that period. It is the third-largest city in Swabi District, and the fifth-largest city in Mardan Division. There are 30 primary schools, two high schools and one higher secondary school.
