Svend Olling
Svend Olling (born 9 November 1967 in Glostrup) is a Danish diplomat, who is currently the Danish Ambassador to the Republic of Korea since March 2023. Svend Olling graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 1994 with a Master of Science in Economics. He has served in the embassies in Washington, D.C., United States and in Berlin, Germany. From 2010 to 2013, he was the Danish Ambassador in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from September 2016 to 2020 the Danish Ambassador in Ankara, Turkey and Azerbaijan and latest the Danish Ambassador to Egypt from 2020-2023. In the Danish Foreign Ministry, Svend Olling has primarily worked with European Affairs, Security Policy, Export Promotion and IT. He was also involved in hosting the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference, Copenhagen Climate Change Conference COP15 in 2009. Glostrup
Glostrup is a Danish town in Region Hovedstaden, forming one of the western suburbs of Copenhagen. It is the administrative seat of Glostrup Municipality, with an estimated population of 22,357 . During the 20th century Glostrup developed from a small railroad town into a modern middle class suburb. The population reached a peak during the 1970s flight from central Copenhagen, but has since stabilized. While most of Copenhagens western suburbs are dominated by public housing projects, Glostrups mix is around the Danish average. A series of large companies, e.g. Grontmij's and Motorola's Danish sections, along with NKT Holding and Pandora are situated in the area. Order Of The Dannebrog
The Order of the Dannebrog ( da, Dannebrogordenen) is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The ''Grand Commander'' class is reserved to persons of princely origin. It is awarded only to royalty with close family ties with the Danish Royal House. The statute of the Order was amended in 1951 by a Royal Ordinance so that both men and women could be members of the Order. Børsen (Danish for "the Exchange"), also known as Børsbygningen ("The (Stock) Exchange building" in English), is a 17th-century stock exchange in the center of Copenhagen. The historic building is situated next to Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Parliament, on the island of Slotsholmen. 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference
The 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference, commonly known as the Copenhagen Summit, was held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, between 7 and 18 December.
