Susie Mathis
Susie Mathis (born Susan Mathis; 29 April 1947) is a former singer, actress and radio presenter who, in later years, became a fundraiser for Francis House Children's Hospice, and many other charities in North West England. Music and television career Mathis first appeared in the West End at the age of fifteen and came to fame in March 1968, using the stage name 'Tiger', as the lead singer of the Paper Dolls. They reached number 8 in the UK Singles Chart with " Something Here in My Heart (Keeps A Tellin' Me No)". The Paper Dolls toured widely and topped the bill in many UK cabaret venues, but further record success eluded them and, following some changes of personnel, they split up in early 1975. Mathis also released three solo singles under the name 'Tiger Sue'. She recorded with The Maddisons and Colorado, and also took part in pantomime and made television appearances including ''Top Of The Pops''. Katie Puckrik (born July 12, 1962) is an American broadcaster and newspaper columnist. Born in Virginia, Puckrik is best known for hosting British youth magazine shows '' The Word'' and ''The Sunday Show'' in the 1990s. She also created and hosted the British television talk show ''Pyjama Party'' and subsequently its American remake ''Pajama Party''. David Grant (born 8 August 1956) is a British singer, comedian and vocal coach. Career Grant became famous in the early 1980s as a member of UK soul/funk duo, Linx, whose biggest hit was "Intuition" in 1981. He began a solo career in 1983 with the top 40 hit "Stop and Go". Further hits included "Watching You Watching Me" and two duets with Jaki Graham, "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" which reached number five in 1985 and the Todd Rundgren-penned "Mated", which made number 20 later that year. The Radio Academy Awards, started in 1983, were the most prestigious awards in the British radio industry. For most of their existence, they were run by ZAFER Associates, but in latter years were brought under the control of The Radio Academy. The awards were generally referred to by the name of their first sponsor, Sony, as The Sony Awards, The Sony Radio Awards or variations.
