Susanne Albrecht
Susanne Albrecht (born 1 March 1951) is a former member of the Red Army Faction. Early life Albrecht was the daughter of a successful maritime lawyer, and spent her childhood living in a wealthy suburb of Hamburg. She did not fit in well in public school, and was later sent to a private school in Holzminden. In 1971 she attended the University of Hamburg where she studied sociology, and it was around this time that she became interested in Marxism. She joined several political groups and even a squatters group before moving into an apartment with Karl-Heinz Dellwo. She also began to mingle with some Red Army Faction (RAF) members, such as Ilse Stachowiak, to whom she sometimes gave her ID papers. Sigrid Sternebeck
Sigrid Sternebeck (born 19 June 1949) is a German convicted murderer. She was a member of the Red Army Faction (RAF), and participated in the kidnapping and murder of Hanns-Martin Schleyer, including the murder of his driver and three policemen, and in the murder attempt on Alexander Haig. In 1980 she fled to East Germany with the help of the Stasi, which provided her with a false identity. After the fall of communism and German reunification she was arrested and charged with murder in relation to the kidnapping and murder of Hanns-Martin Schleyer and his driver and police escort, and of murder attempt on Haig; she was found guilty on 22 June 1992 and sentenced to eight-and-a-half years' imprisonment. During her trial she cooperated with the police and prosecution and therefore received a reduced sentence. Following her release from prison on probation in 1997, she has worked as a photographer. Christian Klar
Christian Klar (born 20 May 1952) is a former leading member of the second generation Red Army Faction (RAF), active between the 1970s and 1980s. Imprisoned in 1982 in Bruchsal Prison, he was released on 19 December 2008, after serving over 26 years of his life sentence. Early life The son of a teacher and vice-principal, Klar attended school in Lörrach, and in 1972 graduated from a school in Ettlingen. He went on to study history and philosophy at the University of Heidelberg, and became, for a while, a member of a young democratic movement. Brigitte Mohnhaupt
Brigitte Margret Ida Mohnhaupt (born 24 June 1949) is a German convicted former terrorist associated with the second generation of the Red Army Faction (RAF) members. She was also part of the Socialist Patients' Collective (SPK). From 1971 until 1982 she was active within the RAF. Early life Mohnhaupt was born in Rheinberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, the daughter of an employee in a publishing house. After her parents' divorce in 1960 she stayed with her mother. She took her abitur in 1967 in Bruchsal, and later that year enrolled with the philosophy department at the University of Munich. She was married to Rolf Heissler from 1968–1970. Jürgen Ponto
Jürgen Ponto (17 December 1923 Bad Nauheim, Hesse - 30 July 1977 Frankfurt am Main) was a German banker and since 1969 chairman of the Dresdner Bank board of directors. Previously, he had worked as a lawyer. He was murdered by members of the Red Army Faction in events leading up to the German Autumn. Actor Erich Ponto was his uncle. Death On Saturday 30 July 1977, Ponto and his wife Ignes were at their Oberursel villa packing for a vacation in Rio de Janeiro, but were also expecting a visit from Susanne Albrecht, the daughter of a good friend of the Pontos.
