Surya Prakash (director)
Surya Prakash is an Indian film director who has worked on Tamil and Telugu language films. He made his directorial debut with ''Manikkam'' (1996), before making the action films, ''Maayi'' (2000) and '' Diwan'' (2003). Career Surya Prakash began his career by directing ''Manikkam'' (1996) featuring Rajkiran, before working on the unreleased ''Pen Ondru Kanden'' featuring Prabhu in the lead role during 1998. He later returned to make two action films featuring Sarathkumar in the early 2000s, ''Maayi'' (2000) and '' Diwan'' (2003). He also worked on ''Bharata Simha Reddy'' (2002), a Telugu film, which fetched negative reviews. Surya Prakash subsequently failed to garner offers to helm big-budget films and worked on the village centric romance film ''Varusanadu'' in the early 2010s. Manikkam
''Manikkam'' is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language film directed by K. V. Pandian and produced by T. Siva for Amma Creations. The film stars Rajkiran and Vanitha Vijayakumar, while Vinu Chakravarthy and Ganthimathi play supporting roles. Maayi
''Maayi'' is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama-film starring Sarath Kumar and Meena, wherein Vadivelu's comedy performance was critically acclaimed. The film was a super hit at box office. This film later remade into Telugu as ''Simharasi'' with Rajasekhar and Sakshi Sivanand in the year 2001 and in Kannada as ''Narasimha'' with Ravichandran in 2012. Diwan (film)
''Diwan'' is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language film starring Sarathkumar, Kiran Rathod, and Vadivelu. It was directed by Surya Prakash, who previously directed ''Maayi'' with Sarathkumar. S. A. Rajkumar composed the music. This film had an average run at the box office. Plot Raghavan (Sarathkumar) and Velu (Vadivelu) work as cooks in a non-veg hotel. Raghavan loves Geetha (Kiran Rathod) who is the daughter of a rich man (Vijayan), but her father is against this love and insults him as a poor man. J. Mohideen Abdul Khadar, known by his stage name Rajkiran, is an Indian actor, producer and director, who has acted in more than 30 Tamil films. Early life Rajkiran was born as J. Mohideen Abdul Khadar on 16 March 1959 at Keelakarai into a Muslim family. Film career Rajkiran began by producing two Ramarajan starrer films and in one of them he appeared in a brief role. Prabhu Ganesan (born 25 December 1956), known professionally as Prabhu, is an Indian actor, businessman and film producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan. He is popularly known as ''Ilaya Thilagam''. Sarathkumar Ramanathan (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, politician, filmmaker, and singer. He has acted in more than 130 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Jeevan (born Vijayabaskar Rangaraj) is an Indian Tamil film actor in the Tamil film industry. He first appeared in the film ''University'' (2002). However, this was followed by greater success ''Kaakha Kaakha'' (2003). Following a 3-year sabbatical, he returned as an actor in the main role with Susi Ganesan's ''Thiruttu Payale'' (2006), which earned him praise.
