Suphanburi Municipality Stadium
Suphanburi Provincial Stadium (), formerly known as ''Suphan Buri World War II Stadium (''สนามกีฬาสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี), is a multi-purpose stadium and the home of Suphanburi F.C., located in Suphan Buri, Suphan Buri Province, Thailand. It was opened in 1947 and expanded in 2001. After Suphanburi F.C. came back to the top level as promoted to 2013 Thai Premier League, the stadium was re-expanded during the early time of the 2013 season as the northern stand was additionally built (only three sides beforehand) and entirely seated. The capacity then turned out to be 25,000 (standing (east and south) and seated (north and west)). Buriram (, , , 'city of happiness') is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in Thailand, capital of Buriram Province, about northeast of Bangkok. The town occupies ''tambon'' Nai Mueang of Mueang Buriram District. In 2012 it had a population of 27,862. History Almost a thousand years ago, the present-day Buriram was part of the Khmer Empire. The 2014 Thai Premier League (also known as Toyota Thai Premier League due to the sponsorship from Toyota) is the 18th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996. A total of 20 teams are competing in the league. The season has begun on 22 February and will finish on 2 November. Buriram United are the defending champions, having won their Thai Premier League title the previous season. Air Force Central, Singhtarua and PTT Rayong entered as the three promoted teams. 2011 Thai Division 1 League
2011 Thai League Division 1 is the 14th season of the League since its establishment in 1997. It is the feeder league for the Thai Premier League. A total of 18 teams will compete in the league. League expansion It was announced at the end of the 2010 season that the TPL would increase the number of teams for the start of the 2011 Thai Premier League season. Therefore, playoff games were arranged to promote more teams for the Regional League Division 2 and relegate less teams from the TPL. During these games, Nakhon Pathom were banned and therefore will fail to take their place in Division 1 for the next two seasons. This did mean that the league would only feature 17 teams for the season, but with less than 3 weeks before the start of the league campaign another round of playoffs was used to promote one more side, Saraburi. The 2014 Kor Royal Cup was the 79th Kor Royal Cup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Thai Premier League and Thai FA Cup competitions. The match was played at Suphanburi Stadium, Suphanburi and contested by 2013 Thai Premier League champions Buriram United, and 2013 Thai Premier League runners-up Muangthong United, as Buriram also won the 2013 Thai FA Cup.
