"Superhuman" is a future bass song by Los Angeles–based musical duo Slander featuring vocals from Los Angeles–based singer Eric Leva. It was released on June 23, 2017 by independent electronic music label Monstercat. Reception and release David Rishty of '' Billboard'' noted the direction Slander took for the song compared to their previous songs, stating "Swapping bone-crushing trap synths for emotive chord progressions. The warm future bass production also comes paired with the smooth vocals of rising pop singer Eric Leva". Stefano Frantellizzi of EDM Sauce praised the song, stating "This song is an absolute emotional rollercoaster. Slander (DJs)
Slander (stylized as SLANDER) is an American DJ duo consisting of Derek Andersen and Scott Land based in Los Angeles. They are best known for their unique sound and subgenre "heaven trap". They attribute most of their success to their close friend Nathaniel Bates, who they say “single handedly gave them the inspiration and confidence to become full time DJ’s”. Early life Andersen and Land met at their fraternity, Kappa Sigma, in University of California, Irvine. They later went to and graduated from Icon Collective, a music production school together with Nghtmre. Andersen said: "My relationship with Tyler (Nghtmre) came out of nowhere when we were put in the same classroom at Icon Collective together." Monstercat
Monstercat (formerly known as Monstercat Media) is a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 2011 by Mike Darlington and Ari Paunonen, the label released music on a tri-weekly basis until 2018, when this was changed to four releases a week. Matthew Lee (born 1985 in Northampton), known professionally by his stage name Gammer, is an English music producer and DJ. He is best known for his association with UK hardcore, of which he is described as an icon. He is also the co-founder of the Together We Rise record label, which is dedicated to hardcore music. Biography Regarded as one of the most prolific producers in the United Kingdom hardcore scene, Gammer initially began his musical career as a hard dance producer before switching to hardcore.
