Gammer
Matthew Lee (born 1985 in Northampton), known professionally by his stage name Gammer, is an English music producer and DJ. He is best known for his association with UK hardcore, of which he is described as an icon. He is also the co-founder of the Together We Rise record label, which is dedicated to hardcore music. Biography Regarded as one of the most prolific producers in the United Kingdom hardcore scene, Gammer initially began his musical career as a hard dance producer before switching to hardcore. He has also produced many UK hardcore songs under the name Matt Lee. One track in particular, ''Go'', caught the attention of Andy Whitby, who signed him to AWsum. Gammer first appeared in the hardcore scene in 2002 and has since released songs under the Essential Platinum label. The ''Bonkers'' series was one of the leading happy hardcore Happy hardcore, also known as 4-beat or happycore, is a subgenre of hardcore dance music or " hard dance". It emerged both from the UK breakbeat hardcore rave scene, and Belgian, German and Dutch hardcore techno scenes in the early 1990 ... compilation series in the UK. The first release was in 1996 on record label React (now Resist); it was available on 2xCD and 2xTC formats. DJs Sharkey and Hixxy were signed by React and the pair released "Bonkers", the first in a series of albums which has become the best-selling hardcore compilation series of all time. Kayzo
Hayden Capuozzo (born October 8, 1991), better known by his stage name Kayzo, is an American DJ and producer based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for remixing songs and incorporating trap and hardstyle genres into his remixes. His collaboration with Riot "Wake Up" received more than 200,000 plays in less than 24 hours. Kayzo is also the founder of Welcome Records. Early life Kayzo grew up playing hockey. In 2012 he got accepted to Icon Collective, an electronic music production school based in Los Angeles. He graduated after 9 months. He used Massive as a plugin to produce synths on his MacBook laptop. "Over the Edge" is a song by American electronic producer Hayden Capuozzo and English UK hardcore producer Matthew Lee, featuring American singer-songwriter August Hausman. Canadian record label Monstercat released it on August 11, 2017. The song was featured on the compilation album ''Monstercat Uncaged Vol. 2'', released August 25, 2017. Background and release In early 2017, Capuozzo had received an a cappella song sent by Hausman, though Capuozzo had not started on any production using the a cappella as he decided to instead finish up other projects. DJ Dougal
Paul Arnold Clarke (born 1975 in Northampton), and better known as DJ Dougal, is a British UK hardcore and happy hardcore artist and DJ. He first became involved with the dance music scene at the age of 15, while setting up sound systems for some of the first acid house parties, as part of work experience assignment to a music shop. Through this, he met Murray Beetson (of ''ESP Promotions'' and promoter of the Dreamscape raves) and became a resident at raves including Equinox Milwaukees, Dreamscape and Helter Skelter. His style is a mix of euphoric hardcore with uplifting vocals. He has worked alongside many other hardcore artists including DNA, Gammer and Hixxy, though in recent years, most of his work has been with Gammer. Darren Styles
Darren James Mew (born 23 May 1975), better known as Darren Styles, is an English record producer, DJ, singer and songwriter from Colchester, England. Originally a member of the breakbeat hardcore group DJ Force & the Evolution, Styles found success during the 1990s as one half of Force & Styles. The duo were pioneers of happy hardcore and wrote several well-known songs such as " Heart of Gold", "Pretty Green Eyes" and " Paradise & Dreams". In the early 2000s, Styles began producing more trance-influenced records with Mark Brady as Styles & Breeze. Electric Daisy Carnival, commonly known as EDC, is an electronic dance music festival organized by promoter and distributor Insomniac. The annual flagship event, EDC Las Vegas, is held in May at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and is currently the largest electronic dance music festival in North America.
