SuperFight (2024) was a professional wrestling event produced by Major League Wrestling (MLW). It took place on February 3, 2024, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was streamed live on Triller TV. It was the fourth event under the SuperFight chronology. Additional matches were taped for MLW's "The Burning Crush", a free special which aired on BeIN Sports USA and MLW's YouTube channel on February 17. Production Background SuperFight is a professional wrestling supercard event produced by Major League Wrestling. The first event was broadcast as a special live episode of '' Fusion'' that aired on February 2, 2019; the second live special in the show's history. The second event, Saturday Night SuperFight, was held later that year on November 2 as MLW's first-ever pay-per-view card. Major League Wrestling (MLW), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in New Rochelle, New York. The promotion was founded in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by former WWE writer Court Bauer. The promotion markets its product as "Hybrid Wrestling", with its roster featuring a mix of different styles. Heel (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. "The role of a heel is to get 'heat,' which means spurring the crowd to obstreperous hatred, and generally involves cheating and pretty much any other manner of socially unacceptable behavior that will get the job done." Alexander James Atkisson (born October 19, 1993), known by his ring name Akira (stylised in all caps as AKIRA), is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Major League Wrestling, where he is a former MLW World Tag Team Champion and a former MLW World Middleweight Champion. Satoshi Kojima
is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but makes appearances for Pro Wrestling Noah. MLW World Heavyweight Championship
The MLW World Heavyweight Championship is a world heavyweight championship owned and promoted by Major League Wrestling (MLW). It is the promotion's principal championship. The championship was established on September 26, 2002 during the MLW Reload event and was active until February 10, 2004 after the promotion stopped hosting events. History On June 15, 2002, Major League Wrestling held an eight-man single-elimination tournament to crown the first MLW Champion at its inaugural Genesis event. Jerry Lynn, Shane Douglas, Vampiro and Taiyo Kea advanced to the semifinals. Douglas defeated Lynn to advance to the finals, and caused the match between Vampiro and Kea to be declared a no contest. Alex Kane (born October 21, 1993) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Major League Wrestling where he is the current MLW World Champion in his first reign he's also a one time MLW National Openweight Champion. Yuji Nagata
is a Japanese professional wrestler currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). A two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, World Heavyweight Champion and a GHC Heavyweight Champion, making him a four-time world champion in major professional wrestling promotions in Japan, Nagata is considered one of the greatest Japanese wrestlers in history.
