''Suosikki'' (Finnish language, Finnish for "favourite") was the longest-lived youth magazine in Finland, published from 1961 to 2012. Jyrki Hämäläinen
Jyrki Hämäläinen (27 July 1942 Tampere, Finland - 18 March 2008) was a Finnish magazine editor who also authored several biographies of prominent figures in Finnish pop culture. Hämäläinen was the former editor of '' Suosikki'', a magazine which focuses on the country's pop music scene. Hämäläinen also worked as an MC, concert promoter, columnist and producer. Jyrki Hämäläinen was the editor of ''Suosikki'', a teen magazine, from 1968 until his retirement from the publication in 2002. Hämäläinen was well known for interviewing high-profile celebrities including The Rolling Stones, Muhammad Ali and Elvis Presley. Hämäläinen, who often had his photograph taken with the celebrity whom he was interviewing, was nicknamed the "king of the backstage passes." Nyrok City
''Nyrok City'' is a colour comic strip drawn by the Finnish artist Mauri Kunnas from 1975 to 1986, published in the youth magazines ''Intro'', ''Help!'' and '' Suosikki''. The first story in the comic was ''Esittely'' ("introduction"), published in ''Intro'' issue 11 in November 1975. ''Intro'' was published twelve times per year. The last ''Nyrok City'' story ''One More Time: Nyrok City'' was published in ''Suosikki'' in July 1986. Kunnas was awarded the " Puupäähattu" award for ''Nyrok City'' by the Finnish Comics Society on 4 June 1981. The strip is about the world of popular culture and various Finnish and foreign bands, with their names comically twisted. Even though ''Nyrok City'' was originally only published in magazines, the entire run was later published in collections ''Nyrok City Kollektion 1'' (1984), ''Nyrok City Kollektion 2'' (1993) and ''The best & wörst of Nyrok City'' (2000). Finnish ( endonym: or ) is a Uralic language of the Finnic branch, spoken by the majority of the population in Finland and by ethnic Finns outside of Finland. Finnish is one of the two official languages of Finland (the other being Swedish). Olli Hämäläinen
Olli is a Dutch children's book character and a stuffed toy. The character Olli was created in 2004 by Dutch designer and film director Hein Mevissen and writer Diederiekje Bok as a character for a bottled mineral water. Olli was one of the many characters used on the packages and posters of the bottled water brand and John's Phone. Olli was launched at a party of MTV In Rotterdam in 2004. In 2013, Olli was again part of a campaign, this time to save the Rotterdam Zoo Diergaarde Blijdorp. Olli is part of the Ollimania family which is the company that created and owns all characters. After the launch, Olli became the symbol of Rotterdam and professional football club Feyenoord. Mauri Kunnas
Mauri Tapio Kunnas (born 11 February 1950) is a Finnish cartoonist and children's author. Kunnas was born in Vammala. He matriculated in 1969 and graduated from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki as a graphic designer in 1975. He has worked as a political cartoonist in many Finnish newspapers. He is currently living in Espoo with his wife Tarja, children Jenna (1983) and Noora (1987) and their cat. Kunnas is most famous for his numerous children's books, illustrated by himself and featuring anthropomorphic animals. His most famous children's book series is called ''Koiramäki'' (Dog Hill), set in historical Finland, featuring anthropomorphic dogs.
