Sunman (video Game)
''Sunman'' is an unreleased Action game, action video game developed by EIM (video game developer), EIM and planned to be published by Sunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. Despite being mostly complete, it was never commercially released. Gameplay The gameplay is very similar to Sunsoft's Batman games, ''Batman (Nintendo Entertainment System), Batman'' and ''Batman: Return of the Joker'', in that the character can run, jump, punch, and duck, although in this game the player can also fly simply by pushing up. There are also some side scrolling flying levels where the player can shoot laser/heat vision from Sunman's eyes. The game is divided into five stages, each made up of one to four areas, with a boss at the end of each stage. History The game features a superhero, named ''Sunman''. It is a traditional single-player side-scrolling arcade game where the player controls Superman through various levels in an effort to defeat the evil supervillain named Brainiac. Other super villains, as bosses, include The Prankster, Metallo and Mister Mxyzptlk. ''Superman'' is an NES video game by Kemco based on the DC Comics character. The Japanese release featured a synthesized version of the 1978 film's score, but in the US version, these songs are replaced by music recycled from ''Indora no Hikari''. Gameplay In the game, the player controls Superman on a quest to save the city of Metropolis from the evil Lex Luthor and a gang of criminals that were exiled from the planet Krypton. The game had an overhead map of various locations in the city that the player can travel to, with animated scenes, but then the gameplay would switch to a more traditional side-scrolling adventure game.
