Sungei Wang Plaza ( ms, Plaza Sungei Wang) is a strata title shopping centre in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The mall has an aggregate retail floor area approximately 800,000 square feet (sq. ft.) and key anchor tenant includes Giant Supermarket, JUMPA @ Sungei Wang, Blastacars, Camp5, Daiso and MR. DIY. The shopping center is accessible from Bukit Bintang MRT/Monorail. History The shopping center was incorporated on 16 May 1972 and was opened for business in 1977. In 1992 and 2013, it underwent renovation and refurbishment. In 2018, it undergoes another facade transformation and is expected to be completed by mid 2019. Bukit Bintang (; stylised as Bintang Walk or Starhill, the latter being a translation of the Malay language, Malay name) is the shopping and entertainment district of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It encompasses Jalan Bukit Bintang (''Bukit Bintang Road'' in English language, English) and its immediate surrounding areas. Bukit Bintang is a Monorail station located in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. As part of the KL Monorail line, it opened alongside the rest of the train service on August 31, 2003. Strata title is a form of ownership and housing tenure devised for multi-level apartment blocks and horizontal subdivisions with shared areas. The word "strata" refers to apartments being on different levels. Strata title was first introduced in 1961 in the state of New South Wales, Australia, to better cope with the legal ownership of apartment blocks.
