Sunetra Sarker
Sunetra Sarker (born 25 June 1973) is an English actress and presenter, known for her roles as Nisha Batra in ''Brookside'', Anji Mittel in ''No Angels'', Zoe Hanna in ''Casualty'' and Kaneez Paracha in ''Ackley Bridge''. In 2014, she took part in the twelfth series of ''Strictly Come Dancing'', partnered with Brendan Cole. She became a panellist on the lunch time chat show Loose Women in 2021. Early life Sarker was born in Liverpool into an Indian family. Her father is a retired doctor, and her mother Bisakha taught Indian classical dance, for which she was awarded an MBE in December 2013. Sarker has a degree in Information Systems for Business in Europe from Brunel University London. Her great-grandfather was the lawyer, novelist and political activist Nares Sen-Gupta. Naresh Chandra Sen-Gupta (17 May 1882 – 19 September 1964) was an Indian legal scholar and a novelist of Bengali literature based in Calcutta. Early life and career Sen-Gupta was born into a Baidya Brahmin family on 17 May 1882 at his paternal uncle's home in Bogra (now in Bangladesh). His parental home was in the village of Banshi in Tangail. His father, Maheshchandra Sengupta, was a deputy magistrate. Tango
Tango is a partner dance and social dance that originated in the 1880s along the Río de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. The tango was born in the impoverished port areas of these countries as the result of a combination of Rioplatense Candombe celebrations, Spanish-Cuban Habanera, and Argentine Milonga. ''London Bridge'' is a British soap opera made by Carlton for ITV and shown in the London region, as well as a few other ITV regions, including Central and Granada Television. ''London Bridge'' revolved around a restaurant, SE1, and the neighbouring block of flats. It ran from 15 February 1996 to 31 March 1999.
