Egil Sundt (23 September 1903 – 6 September 1950) was a Norwegian lawyer and government official who served as director of several national agencies. Egil Kaare Sundt was born in Kristiania (Now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of Othar Sundt and Sigrid Holm. In 1929 he married Dagny Dick Thorkildsen. He graduated from the Oslo Cathedral School from 1922. He earned his law degree in 1925. In 1929, Sundt began working with the National Ministry of Finance. Eilert Lund Sundt (8 August 1817 – 13 June 1875) was a Norwegian theologist and sociologist, known for his work on mortality, marriage and other subjects among the working class. Halfdan Sundt (12 August 1873 – 18 January 1951) was a Norwegian physician and politician. He was a president of the Norwegian Medical Association. Personal life He was born in Farsund as a son of consul Peter Ingvard Sundt (1841–1917) and his wife Anna Christiane Salvesen. He was a triplet brother of physician Vigleik Trygve Sundt. Carl Fredrik Sundt-Hansen (30 January 1841, Stavanger - 27 August 1907, Stavanger) was a Norwegian-Danish genre painter; in the Romantic Nationalist style. Biography Carl Sundt-Hansen was born in Stavanger, Norway. He came from an old family of wealthy merchants. He was the son of the merchant and mayor Lauritz Wilhelm Hansen (1816–1871) and his wife Elisa Margaretha Sundt (1814–1892). He adopted his mother's maiden-name (Sundt) in 1878. Originally, he was meant to take over the family business, "Plough & Sundt", but he preferred to become an artist, so he handed the business over to his younger brother, Hans Wilhelm.
