Sunday Stew
Sunday Stew was a block of programming aired on Sunday nights between 9-11 p.m. where MTV showed new episodes of their comedic programs targeted towards younger college-aged men. Like MTV2, the Stew showed short films before and after a show. The branding was discontinued on television in December 2005. Sunday Stew line-ups The following are the shows aired during the Sunday Stew for the time periods listed. Each lineup was referred to as a "season" by MTV; thus, the Sunday Stew aired six "seasons" between 2003 and 2005. Ten-minute sneak peeks Occasionally, MTV would air the first 10 minutes of a new movie at the conclusion of the programming block. MTV2 (formerly M2) is an American pay television Cable television, channel owned by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. The channel launched initially as an all-music video service, once the original MTV had started to shift its programming. As with its parent network, MTV2's focus on music programming would gradually be downplayed during the 2000s. By 2011, MTV2 would primarily target young adult men with original and acquired lifestyle and reality programming, reruns of male-targeting shows from MTV, acquired sitcoms and movies, and a daily block of Hip hop music, hip hop and Rock music, rock genre videos in the early mornings. Punk'd
''Punk'd'' is an American hidden camera–practical joke reality television series that first aired on MTV in 2003. It was created by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, with Kutcher serving as producer and host. It bears a resemblance to both the classic hidden camera show '' Candid Camera'' and to ''TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes'', which also featured pranks on celebrities. Being "punk'd" referred to being the victim of such a prank. New episodes hosted by King Bach and DeStorm Power aired on BET. ''Viva La Bam'' is an American reality television series that stars Bam Margera and his friends and family. The show is a spin-off from MTV's '' Jackass'', in which Margera and most of the main cast appeared. Each episode had a specific theme, mission, or challenge which was accomplished by performing pranks, skateboarding, and enlisting the help of friends, relatives, and/or experts. Although partly improvised, the show was supported by a greater degree of planning and organization. ''Wildboyz'' is an American television series. It is a spin-off and follow-up to '' Jackass''. ''Wildboyz'' debuted in 2003 on MTV, and moved to MTV2 in its third season. The show starred Steve-O and Chris Pontius, who perform stunts and acts with animals, often putting themselves in situations for which they are not trained. Format ''Wildboyz'' follows the antics of Chris Pontius and Steve-O, as they travel around the globe. Over the course of 4 seasons, Pontius and Steve-O have traveled to 19 different locations. ''Pimp My Ride'' is an American television series produced by MTV and hosted by rapper Xzibit, which ran for six seasons on MTV from 2004 to 2007. In each episode, a car in poor condition is both restored and customized. The work on the show was done by West Coast Customs until season 5 when Galpin Auto Sports took over. The show had several international adaptations, including ''Pimp My Ride UK'', ''Pimp My Ride International'' (in central Europe), and other adaptations in Brazil, Indonesia and the Baltic countries. ''You've Got A Friend'' is a 2004 reality comedy program on MTV, produced by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg And Jeff Fisher. It was launched near the same time as their reality prank show Punk'd, and although successful in ratings, was cancelled at the end of the first season so they could focus on its more popular counterpart. The program filmed contestants having to tolerate a 'friend' for 48 hours, while filmed on hidden camera in their home and different public settings. The 'friend' would be a trained improvisational comedian, who would progressively torment the contestant, their friends and loved ones. Hosted by lead vocalist of Canadian music group Simple Plan Pierre Bouvier, and directed by Sebastian Doggart, the show was a real-life version of the movie ''Risky Business.''
