Sun Devils (comics)
''Sun Devils'' is a science fiction "space opera" comic book series published by DC Comics for 12 issues between July 1984 and June 1985. Writers Gerry Conway, Roy Thomas and artist Dan Jurgens created the series. History Printed in DC's deluxe paper "baxter format" and priced at the then-high price of $1.25 the series followed a group of cosmic adventurers led by Rik Sunn, the series' main protagonist. Dan Jurgens
Dan Jurgens (; born June 27, 1959) is an American comic book writer and artist. He is known for his work on the DC comic book storyline "The Death of Superman" and for creating characters such as Doomsday, Hank Henshaw and Booster Gold. Jurgens had a lengthy run on the Superman comic books including '' The Adventures of Superman'', '' Superman vol. 2'' and ''Action Comics''. At Marvel, Jurgens worked on series such as ''Captain America'', ''The Sensational Spider-Man'' and was the writer on ''Thor'' for seven years. He also had a brief run as writer and artist on '' Solar'' for Valiant Comics in 1995. Booster Gold (Michael Jon Carter) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Dan Jurgens, the character first appeared in ''Booster Gold'' #1 (February 1986) and has been a member of the Justice League. He is initially depicted as a glory-seeking showboat from the future, staging high-publicity heroics through his knowledge of historical events and futuristic technology. Ultra-Humanite is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He first appeared as a recurring adversary of Superman. The Ultra-Humanite is the first supervillain faced by Superman and he is among the first supervillains of the Golden Age of Comics. Jeff Katz is an American film producer and comic book author. Early life Katz is from Franklin, Michigan. He started a pen-pal relationship with New Line Cinema founder and future boss Bob Shaye after meeting Shaye's father at a dinner party as an eight year old boy. As a teenager, Katz achieved some measure of local fame, including a feature on NBC's The Today Show, as the host of an AM talk radio show on WDFN, which at the time was a sports talk radio station.
