Sumitra Marandi (born 25 October 1996) is an Indian footballer who plays as a defender for SSB Women Football Club. She has been a member of the India women's national team. Club career Playing for West Bengal, Sumitra scored an own goal during the semifinal match of the 2017–18 Senior Women's National Football Championship against eventual champions Tamil Nadu. Baghmara is a village in Baghmara CD block in Dhanbad Sadar subdivision of Dhanbad district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Geography Location Baghmara is located at . The 2017–18 Senior Women's National Football Championship is the 23rd edition of the Senior Women's National Football Championship, the premier competition in India for women's teams representing regional and state football associations. Manipur are currently the defending champions, having defeated Railways in the final during the 2016–17 edition of the tournament. 2014 SAFF Women's Championship
The 2014 SAFF Women's Championship was an association football tournament for women's national teams organised by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). It was the third edition of the tournament since the first one in 2010. The competition was contested by the eight SAFF members. India were the reigning champions. The tournament was hosted in Islamabad, Pakistan from 11 to 21 November 2014. In the final, India beat Nepal for the third time and to remain the only nation to lift the title. The SAFF Women's Championship, also called the ''South Asian Football Federation Women's Cup'', is the main association football competition of the women's national football teams, governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). All seven members are eligible to participate in this tournament. History The current SAFF members are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
