Suliskongen is a mountain in the municipality of Fauske in Nordland, Norway. The tall mountain is part of the Sulitjelma massif and it is the second highest mountain in Northern Norway. It is located about east of the village of Sulitjelma and the peak of the mountain lies less than west of the border with Sweden. Sulitjelma (mountain)
Sulitjelma ( sv, Sulitelma, Pite Sami: ''Sulidälbmá/Sulidælbmá'') is a mountain massif on the Norway-Sweden border in the municipality of Fauske in Nordland, Norway and the municipality of Arjeplog in Norrbotten, Sweden. The massif lies east of the village of Sulitjelma, which takes its name from the mountain. The massif is bordered by '' Låmivatnet'' (Lake Låmi) and '' Muorkkejávrre'' (Lake Muorkke) to the south, and by '' Bajep Sårjåsjávrre'' (Upper Lake Sårjås) and '' Vuolep Sårjåsjávrre'' (Lower Lake Sårjås) to the north. About two-thirds of the mountain is in Norway. or is a municipality located in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Salten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Fauske. Some of the villages in Fauske include Nystad, Venset, Straumsnes, and Sulitjelma. The municipality borders Sweden in the east and the municipalities of Sørfold to the north, Bodø to the west, and Saltdal to the southeast. It is located on the shore of Langvatnet (Fauske), Langvatnet lake, about southeast of the Fauske (town), town of Fauske. The Sulitjelma Glacier (also: , , or ) is one of the largest glaciers in mainland Norway. The glacier is located in mostly in Norway, but the eastern part crosses over into Sweden. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock.
