Sukhdev Patil
Sukhdev Patil (born 23 November 1998) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Churchill Brothers in the I-League. Career Early career Born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Patil started his career with Pune in their youth academy. In 2014, he was selected to be part of the Maharashtra side that took part in the 2014 Santosh Trophy. He soon joined the youth ranks at DSK Shivajians before joining Minerva Academy in 2015. On 17 February 2016, it was revealed that Patil moved once again to ONGC. Goa and Mumbai In August 2017, it was announced that Patil had signed with Goa of the Indian Super League as their third-choice goalkeeper. After not making an appearance with Goa, Patil signed with Mumbai in the I-League. The India national under-23 football team represents India in international under-23 football and is controlled by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). A member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the team is eligible to compete in the Summer Olympic Games, the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, and the Asian Games, subject to qualification. The South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly known as SAFF Championship (previously known as ''South Asian Association of Regional Co-operation Gold Cup'' and ''South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup''), is the main international association football competition of the men's national football teams governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). 2016–17 I-League
The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017. Aizawl won their first title on the final day after securing a draw against Shillong Lajong on 30 April 2017. Defending champions Bengaluru FC finished in the fourth place. Dempo had entered the league after being promoted from the I-League 2nd Division but withdrew from the league along with Salgaocar and Sporting Goa. 2016 Indian Super League Season
The 2016 Indian Super League season was the third season of the Indian Super League, the football league, since its establishment in 2013. The season featured eight teams again, each playing 14 matches during the regular season before the finals. The regular season began on 1 October and ended on 4 December. The finals began on 10 December and concluded with the final on 18 December. The defending champions coming into the season were Chennaiyin. At the end of the season, Atlético de Kolkata came out as champions after defeating the Kerala Blasters in a penalty shootout, 4–3, during the final. India National Under-20 Football Team
The India national under-20 football team, also known as India Under-20s or India U20(s), represents India at all under-20 football tournaments. They act as the main feeder team for the India national under-23 football team and the senior India national football team. This team is for Indian players aged under 19 at the start of the calendar year in which a two-year AFC U-19 Championship campaign begins, and as such, some players can remain with the squad until the age of 21. As long as they are eligible, players can play for India at any level, making it possible to play for the U19s first, then the senior side, and again back to playing for the U19s. 2017–18 ISL Players Draft
The 2017–18 ISL Players Draft was a players draft conducted by the Indian Super League on 23 July 2017. Format Regulations for the 2017–18 Indian Super League season allow for each club to have a minimum of 15 Indian players and a maximum of 18, which include two mandatory under-21 players. Prior to the draft, each club was allowed to retain a maximum of two senior players from the previous season (2016–17 I-League for Bengaluru FC) as well as retaining up to three under-21 players. The draft had a total of 15 rounds. New expansion side, Jamshedpur FC, had the first pick in both the first and second rounds. The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March.
