2017–18 ISL Players Draft
The 2017–18 ISL Players Draft was a players draft conducted by the Indian Super League on 23 July 2017. Format Regulations for the 2017–18 Indian Super League season allow for each club to have a minimum of 15 Indian players and a maximum of 18, which include two mandatory under-21 players. Prior to the draft, each club was allowed to retain a maximum of two senior players from the previous season (2016–17 I-League for Bengaluru FC) as well as retaining up to three under-21 players. The draft had a total of 15 rounds. New expansion side, Jamshedpur FC, had the first pick in both the first and second rounds. Them and Delhi Dynamos, who didn't retain a single player from the previous season, were the only sides who participate in the first round of the draft. The order for which each team participated in the draft was determined on Saturday, 22 July 2017. Boithang Haokip
Boithang Haokip (born 9 September 1991) is an Indian footballer who currently plays for SC East Bengal in the Indian Super League. A free-kick specialist, he primarily plays as a central midfielder but can play as a full-back or a wide player. Career Shillong Lajong Boithang started his career at Shillong Lajong's academy and made his senior professional debut during the 2009-10 I-League season, scoring twice, while at the same time, actively playing for Lajong's youth team. Nirmal Chettri (born 21 October 1990 in Melli, Sikkim) is an Indian footballer who plays mainly as a defender and last played for Southern Samity in the Calcutta Football League. Career Early career Chettri began his footballing career in 2000 with Namchi Sports Hostel after being discovered in the Sikkim governments ''Search for More Bhaichung's'' campaign (In reference to then India striker and Sikkimese-born Baichung Bhutia). Robin Gurung (born 24 October 1992) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Jamshedpur in the Indian Super League. Halicharan Narzary ( Bodo हलिचरन नार्जारी born 10 May 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Bengaluru. Narayan Das ( bn, নারায়ণ দাস; born 25 September 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Indian Super League club Goa. Arata Izumi
is a Japanese-born Indian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently a youth coach with the Reliance Foundation Young Champs.
