Suited Caribou Media is a post-production company based in Glasgow, Scotland. History Formally established as Mr Q Media in 2013, Suited Caribou Media was launched on 30 June 2015 by Scottish film editor Chris Quick as an umbrella company to represent his freelance work outside of Quick Off The Mark Productions. Its first project was post-production work on the short film ''Sectarian Secret Police'' by Joseph Andrew Mclean. Over the next couple of years, the company provided post-production services for many and varied films and branched out into photography by providing behind the scenes stills during the production of '' ''Broken Record''''. The Scottish Short Film Festival
The Scottish Short Film Festival was an independent film festival which has taken place annually in Scotland from 2012 to 2022. From 2012 to 2017, the festival was known as The Raptor Filmz Short Scottish Film Festival until the event was rebranded in 2018. History and format The festival was set up in 2012 by Scottish filmmaker Chris Young who is the company director of Raptor Filmz Ltd in West Lothian. The aim of the festival is to promote short Scottish films with a view of potentially setting up a distribution deal with filmmakers. The first festival took place in Glasgow at the Grosvenor Cinema and was hosted by Scottish actor David Anderson. The GenreBlast Film Festival is an annual event held in the Winchester, Virginia area that specializes in genre film. GenreBlast is the largest genre film festival in the Washington, D.C. region, spotlighting short and feature films that are typically independently produced and would not otherwise receive theatrical release. The Portobello Film Festival is an independent international film festival based in London, which annually premiers over 700 new films, including feature films, features, short films, shorts, documentaries, music films, and animation. Chris Quick (born 2 August 1988) is a Scottish editor and producer of independent films. His editing credits includes ''Autumn Never Dies'', ''In Search of La Che'', ''Mountain'' and ''The Greyness of Autumn'' which also marked his directorial debut. In July 2019, he became the director of the Glasgow Filmmakers Alliance Career Quick Off The Mark Productions (2009 to 2016) Originally starting in theatre, Quick made the move to video editing in 2007 when he studied television production at the Glasgow Metropolitan College (now City of Glasgow College).
