Sudjati (13 March 1954 – 8 December 2020) was an Indonesian politician. Career He served as Regent of Bulungan Regency, in North Kalimantan, from February 2016 until his death in office in December 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Death Regent Sudjati was diagnosed with COVID-19 and self-quarantined at home before being hospitalized. The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia is part of the ongoing worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). It was confirmed to have spread to Indonesia on 2 March 2020, after a dance instructor and her mother tested positive for the virus. Both were infected from a Japanese national. By 9 April 2020, the pandemic had spread to all 34 provinces in the country at that time. Jakarta, West Java, and Central Java are the worst-hit provinces, together accounting more than half of the national total cases. Bulungan Regency
Bulungan Regency is a Regencies of Indonesia, regency of North Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. It covers an area of 13,181.92 km2 and had a population of 112,663 at the 2010 Census and 151,844 at the 2020 Census. The administrative centre is at Tanjung Selor.
