Sudanese Reformed Churches
The Sudanese Reformed Presbyterian Churches (SRPC) are a unified body of Protestant Churches in Sudan. History The Sudanese Reformed Churches was started in Khartum in 1992. On 31 October 2005 the Sudanese Reformed Churches were officially organised, in Khartum leaders met to discuss the need for a unified body that would govern these congregations and ensure that matters of doctrine and life, and growth (in the faith as well as numerically) would be soundly grounded on Reformed faith as taught by the Reformers (Luther and Calvin). A Committee was formed to provide leadership until such time as the first SRPC Synod would be held. The committee is now working out a Church Order and governing structure for SRPC, taking guidance from work done in these areas throughout history by Reformed Churches who have struggled to structure their church federations on the solid foundation of Scriptural principles. Khartoum
Khartoum or Khartum ( ; ar, الخرطوم, Al-Khurṭūm, din, Kaartuɔ̈m) is the capital of Sudan. With a population of 5,274,321, its metropolitan area is the largest in Sudan. It is located at the confluence of the White Nile, flowing north from Lake Victoria, and the Blue Nile, flowing west from Lake Tana in Ethiopia. The place where the two Niles meet is known as ''al-Mogran'' or ''al-Muqran'' (; English: "The Confluence"). From there, the Nile continues north towards Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea. Sudan Interior Church is a Baptist Christian denomination, affiliated with the Baptist World Alliance, in Sudan. The headquarters is in Khartoum. The general secretary is Ramadan Chan. History Sudan Interior Church has its origins in Sudan Interior Mission, an american mission of Society for International Ministries (now Serving In Mission) in 1936. Sudan Evangelical Presbyterian Church
Sudan Evangelical Presbyterian Church (SEPC) was started by American missionaries of the Presbyterian Church in the USA in the northern part of Sudan. Missionaries were expelled in 1964. The SEPC has grown since then in northern and western Sudan as well as in South Sudan as a large percentage of SEPC members moved there in anticipation of forming a new country. The Sudan Evangelical Presbyterian Church is currently under the leadership of Bishop Elias Taban, and desires to plant churches in the Muslim northern Sudan as well as South Sudan. The church affirms the Apostles Creed, the Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Nicene Creed. The Reformed Churches in South Africa () is a Christian denomination in South Africa that was formed in 1859 in Rustenburg. Members of the church are sometimes referred to as ''Doppers''. History of the Gereformeerde Kerke in South Africa In the early 19th century a new hymnbook was introduced in the Dutch churches in the Netherlands, which was implemented in the Dutch Reformed Church in the Cape Colony. Many of these songs contradicted the teachings of the three confessions accepted at the Synod of Dort in 1618/1619 (The Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession and the Canons of Dort). Rumbek ( ar, رمبك) is the capital of Lakes State, central South Sudan, and the former capital of the country. Bor is a historic city in South Sudan’s central region, being the epicenter of national liberation revolution with multiple landmarks that tells the story. In Malual-Chaat barrack, statues of liberators and destroyed weapons are conserved and exhibited at historical heritage site. It has also served as the headquarters of Jonglei state. Wau (Arabic: واو ''Wāw''; also known as Wow, Waw, or Wau Town) is a city in northwestern South Sudan, on the western bank of the Jur River, that serves as capital for Western Bahr el Ghazal (and formerly Wau State).
