Sucuoğlu Cabinet

	Sucuoğlu Cabinet The Sucuoğlu cabinet has ruled Northern Cyprus since 2021. The current makeup of the Council of Ministers council, the 2nd Sucuoğlu cabinet, which replaced the 1st Sucuoğlu cabinet was appointed on 21 February 2022 by the president Ersin Tatar. The cabinet was led by Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus Faiz Sucuoğlu and consists of 10 ministers formed by a coalition of the National Unity Party (UBP), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Rebirth Party (YDP). UBP got 8 and DP and YDP got 1 minister each. First formation The First Sucuoğlu cabinet, was formed in November 2021 and was a minority coalition government of the National Unity Party (UBP) and the Democratic Party (DP). It functioned as a caretaker government until the snap election. 	Hasan Taçoy Hasan Taçoy (born 1963) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who served as the Minister of Public Works and Transport between 2009 and 2010 and between 2014 and 2015. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1986, studying economics and political science. 	Council Of Ministers (Northern Cyprus) The Council of Ministers ( tr, Bakanlar Kurulu) is the executive branch of the government of the unrecognized state Northern Cyprus, consisting of ministers. The council is chaired by the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus and the ministers head executive departments of the government. The President of Northern Cyprus reserved the right to chair the Council of Ministers, albeit without voting. The maximum number of ministries, as defined by the constitution, is ten. 	2022 Northern Cypriot Parliamentary Election Snap parliamentary elections were held in Northern Cyprus on 23 January 2022. Going into the election, the government was led by Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu of the National Unity Party (UBP). The Sucuoğlu cabinet, was formed in November 2021 and was a minority coalition government of the National Unity Party (UBP) and the Democratic Party (DP).
