Jacques Philippe Raymond Draparnaud (3 June 1772, Montpellier – 2 February 1804) was a French naturalist, malacologist and botanist. Draparnaud is considered the father of malacology in France. He was professor of medicine and pathology at the Faculté de Médecine de Montpellier. AnimalBase is a project brought to life in 2004 and is maintained by the University of Göttingen, Germany. Catinella Arenaria
''Quickella'' is a monotypic genus of land snail in the family Succineidae, the amber snails. It is known commonly as the sandbowl snail.
