Kalyan Kumar
Kalyan Kumar (7 June 1928 – 1 August 1999) was an Indian actor, and an occasional film director and producer who worked primarily in Kannada cinema, Kannada and Tamil cinema. Making his acting debut in the mythological drama ''Natashekara'' (1954), Kalyan Kumar went on to star in over 200 films in a span of over five decades. He was among the much sought after actors in the 1950s through 1970s for lead roles. Kalyan Kumar has the credit of being the first ever Kannada actor to star in a colour film in ''Amarashilpi Jakanachari'' (1963). Alongside Kumar, the 1960s and 1970s in Kannada cinema was dominated by two other actors, Dr. Rajkumar, Rajkumar and Udaya Kumar (actor), Udayakumar. Kannada
Kannada (; ಕನ್ನಡ, ), originally romanised Canarese, is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by the people of Karnataka in southwestern India, with minorities in all neighbouring states. Harini (Kannada Actress)
Harini is a former actress in the Kannada cinema. She was active during the 1950s and 1960s, retiring at the peak of her career. As of 2006 she lived in Bangalore. Early life Harini was born to Srinivasa Upadhya and Bharathi in Udupi as their fourth child. Her brother Vadiraj was also an actor and producer. She appeared as a child artist in films like '' Sri Murugan'' and ''Kannika'' for which she received one rupee for delivering the dialogues very nicely. Chandrakala was an Indian actress who appeared in Telugu language, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil language, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. Mynavathi (26 July 1935 – 10 November 2012) was an Indian actress. She made her first screen appearance as an actor in the 1955 Kannada film ''Santa Sakhu'' and acted in over 100 Kannada films. She was the younger sister of another popular Kannada actress Pandari Bai. She became popular after her role in the 1959 Kannada film ''Abba Aa Hudugi'', which co-starred Rajkumar and her sister Pandari Bai and was directed by H. L. N. Simha. In the film, she played the role of an autocratic girl who hates men. It was based on William Shakespeare's play ''The Taming of the Shrew''. Bhargavi Narayan (4 February 1938 – 14 February 2022) was an Indian actress in the Kannada film industry, and a theatre artist in Karnataka, India. Raaga
A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. The ''rāga'' is a unique and central feature of the classical Indian music tradition, and as a result has no direct translation to concepts in classical European music. Each ''rāga'' is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience. Srirangam Gopalaratnam (1939 – 16 March 1993) was an Indian classical and film playback singer. She is distinguished in the exposition of Kuchipudi, Yakshagana, Javali and Yenki Patalu. She was born to Varadachari and Subhadramma at Pushpagiri in Vizianagaram district. Music She underwent training in music under Kavirayuni Joga Rao and Dr. Sripada Pinakapani. She earned a diploma in music in 1956. A child prodigy, she also gave Harikathas. She has held posts as Principal of Government Music College, Hyderabad, Professor and Dean of Telugu University.
