Su. Rudramurthy Shastry
Sugganahalli Rudramurthy Shastry ( kn, ಸುಗ್ಗನಹಳ್ಳಿ ರುದ್ರಮೂರ್ತಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ) (born 11 November 1948), is a Kannada novelist and lyricist whose works are popular in state of Karnataka, India. He has written lyrics to more than 100 films, screenplay and dialogues for ten Kannada movies, story to biographical historical drama film Gandugali Kumara Rama, and screenplay and dialogues to many Kannada TV serials. Biography Early life Su Rudramurthy Shastry was born at Suggenahalli, a village in the Magadi taluk, Bengaluru Rural District, about 70 km from Bengaluru. His father is S N Shivarudrayya, and mother is Siddagangamma. Gandugali Kumara Rama
''Gandugali Kumara Rama'' is a 2006 Indian Kannada-language biographical film based on the life of Kumara Rama (1290 AD – 1320 AD), who is considered to be the warrior prince prior to the establishment of the Vijayanagara Empire. Directed by H. R. Bhargava and produced by Anitha Pattabhiram, the film threads the path of a novel written by Su. Rudramurthy Shastry. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar in dual roles with Rambha, Laya and Anita Hassanandani in pivotal roles. It was during the filming of this movie that Shivrajkumar's father and veteran actor Rajkumar died. Magadi
Magadi is a Taluk headquarters located in Ramanagara district. The town is situated at a distance of 51 km from Bangalore. The founder of Bangalore, the great Kempegowda was a native of Kempapura, Magadi taluk.
