Strauss Mann
Strauss Mann (born August 18, 1998) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League (AHL). He previously played for Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and played college ice hockey at Michigan. Playing career Junior Mann played for the Fargo Force during the 2017–18 season. He appeared in 34 games where he posted a 22–8–1 record, with a 1.86 goals-against average (GAA) and .932 save percentage. During the playoffs with the Force, he recorded a 2.09 GAA and a .932 save percentage. College Mann began his collegiate career for the University of Michigan during the 2018–19 season. During his freshman season, he appeared in 21 games, including 17 starts, where he posted a 6–8–4 record, with a 2.91 GAA and .895 save percentage. United States Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The United States men's national ice hockey team is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with its U18 and U17 development program in Plymouth, Michigan. The team is controlled by USA Hockey, the governing body for organized ice hockey in the United States. The U.S. team is currently ranked 4th in the IIHF World Rankings. Wichita Thunder
The Wichita Thunder are a minor league hockey team based in Wichita, Kansas. The team played in the Central Hockey League from 1992 until 2014, and then in the ECHL since the 2014–15 season. ''Greenwich Time'' is a daily newspaper based in Greenwich, Connecticut, United States. The paper shares an editor and publisher with '' The Advocate'' of nearby Stamford, Connecticut. Both papers are owned and operated by the Hearst Corporation. In 1977, Southern Connecticut Newspapers, which owned the ''Time'' and the ''Stamford Advocate'', was acquired by Times Mirror. ''The Michigan Daily'' is the weekly student newspaper of the University of Michigan. Its first edition was published on September 29, 1890. The newspaper is financially and editorially independent of the University's administration and other student groups, but shares a university building with other student publications on 420 Maynard Street, north of the Michigan Union and Huetwell Student Activities Center. In 2007, renovations to the historic building at 420 Maynard were completed, funded entirely by private donations from alumni. 2020–21 Michigan Wolverines Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2020–21 Michigan Wolverines men's hockey team was the Wolverines' 99th season. They represented the University of Michigan in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The team was coached by Mel Pearson, in his fourth year as head coach, and played their home games at Yost Ice Arena. The Wolverines received an at-large bid to the 2021 NCAA Tournament, however, they were removed from the tournament due to positive COVID-19 test results within the program. Previous season During the 2019–20 ice hockey season, Michigan went 18–14–4, including 11–10–3–2 in Big Ten play in a shortened season that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
