''Stories from the Surface'' is the third album from Irish rock band Ham Sandwich (band), Ham Sandwich. It was released in Ireland on 17 April 2015, and was produced by the band's long-time collaborator Karl Odlum. "Illuminate" was the band's first single to chart in Ireland, reaching 43 in the Irish music charts. The album has received mostly positive reviews in the band's native Ireland and went straight to first place in the Irish charts on its first week of release, becoming the band's first album to reach the top 20. Ham Sandwich (band)
Ham Sandwich (stylized as HamsandwicH) are an Irish indie rock band from Kells, County Meath, Kells, County Meath. The band originally consisted of Niamh Farrell (vocals), Podge McNamee (vocals and guitar), Brian Darcy (guitar and piano), John Moore (bass guitar) and Ollie Murphy (drums). On 12 April 2010, Moore announced he was leaving the group. The band subsequently hired David McEnroe as his replacement. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Greg Calbi
Gregory Calbi (born April 3, 1949) is an American mastering engineer at Sterling Sound, New Jersey. Biography Greg Calbi was born on April 3, 1949, in Yonkers, New York, and raised in Bayside, Queens, New York. He graduated in 1966 from Bishop Reilly High School in Fresh Meadows. Calbi earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications at Fordham University where he studied with Marshall McLuhan and his staff for 3 of those years. He then earned his master's degree in Political Media Studies (Speech Department) at the University of Massachusetts. During these college years, Calbi drove a NYC cab and sold ladies shoes, and was intent on becoming a documentary filmmaker. A brass instrument is a musical instrument that produces sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator in sympathy with the vibration of the player's lips. Brass instruments are also called labrosones or labrophones, from Latin and Greek elements meaning 'lip' and 'sound'. Windmill Lane Recording Studios (earlier Windmill Lane Studios) is a recording studio in Dublin, Ireland. It was originally opened in 1978 by Brian Masterson and James Morris in premises at 22 Windmill Lane, and it subsequently relocated to its current location at 20 Ringsend Road, Dublin 4, where it still operates as one of Ireland's largest recording studios.
