Kjerkeberget
Kjerkeberget is a mountain in Nordmarka, Oslo, Norway. It is the highest point in the county and municipality of Oslo. It lies on the border of Oslo and the municipality Lunner in Viken, between the lakes Sandungen in the southeast and Katnosa in the northwest. The first element is ''kjerke'' f 'church', the last element is the finite form of ''berg'' n 'rocky mountain'. (Several mountains in Norway are called 'the church', because of some likeness in shape with a church). The word ''kjerke'' is the form in the dialect of the area - in Bokmål ''kirke'', and in Nynorsk ''kyrkje''. Nordmarka
Nordmarka is the mostly forested region which makes up the northern part of Oslo, Norway. Nordmarka is the largest and most central part of Oslomarka. The area called Nordmarka also extends into the municipalities of Hole, Ringerike, Lunner, Jevnaker and Nittedal. It is the largest part of the Marka borough. The forests are popular sites for hiking, biking and skiing. Winter sport is mostly possible from December until March, in cold winters also until April or the beginning of May in some areas. Most of the forests are protected, and it is not possible to obtain building permits for cabins in the area. There are, however, many cabins already in Nordmarka with cafes and overnighting accommodation. There are several lakes in Nordmarka, which are used as a supply for drinking water, largest of these is the Maridalsvannet. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. ''Oslo byleksikon'' ( en, Oslo City Encyclopaedia) is an encyclopaedia on Oslo, Norway's capital city. It has been published in five editions since 1938. The third, fourth and the fifth editions were published in cooperation between the heritage association Selskabet for Oslo Byes Vel and the publishing house Kunnskapsforlaget. The latest edition was published in 2010, comprising approximately 6,100 entries. Editions First edition (1938) The first edition of ''Oslo byleksikon'' was published by the Tanum publishing house. Carl Just
Carl Just (10 September 1897 – 16 October 1990) was a Norwegian journalist. Early and personal life He was born in Kristiania to the wholesaler Carl Johan Beckman (1871–1931) and his wife Selma Augusta Just (1877–1946). Just grew up in Kristiania with foster parents. He never met his father, but met his mother once in his adult life. He married Margaretha Aximia Lundqvist (1894–1969) in 1919. Career In 1917–19, he worked as a journalist in the Norwegian newspaper ''Dagbladet''. After that, he moved to Bergen, where he became editor-in-chief of '' Folkets Avis''. From 1921 to 1928, he was an editor of the Christian newspaper '' Dagen''. Thereafter, he worked in the news department of the broadcasting corporation in Bergen for two years.
