Stop The World (Aranda Album)
''Stop the World'' is the second studio album by American rock band Aranda. The album was released digitally on January 31, 2012, and as a CD on February 14, 2012. It was re-released on October 16, 2012. It includes the single "Undone", and other songs such as "One More Lie" and " Satisfied". Background Grammy award-winning producer Johnny K contacted Aranda about working with them. Critical reception Gene Triplett of The Oklahoman commented on the record, calling it "worth the four-year wait, for its certainly worth its sonic weight in gold, bringing on a 10-song load of the kind of hard-edged, guitar-driven, melodic, made-to-be-played-loud music that distinguished their 2008 self-titled debut". The album has sold 30,000 copies as of 2015. Aranda is an American rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States. The band is composed of Dameon and Gabe Aranda. Their latest album Recollections Of A Painted Year was released on July 29, 2022 through The Fuel Music. History ''Self-titled debut album (2001–2010)'' Dameon and Gabe Aranda have been creating music since an early age. The band became Aranda in 2001 and signed to Epic Records after years of playing locally in Oklahoma City with various groups under various names such as "Image" and "Freewill" in the 1990s. After recording an album for Epic they were let go from the label following a massive structural overhaul. Original drummer Armando Lopez left the band in 2003 to join No Justice. Mike Walker joined the band to record "The 405 Sessions" in 2004 and became a permanent member when the band signed to Astonish Records in 2006. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Post-grunge
Post-grunge is a derivative of grunge that has a less abrasive or intense tone than traditional grunge. Wind-up Entertainment was an American independent record label founded by Alan and Diana Meltzer in 1997. It was based in New York City and was distributed by BMG Distribution. Wind-up's best-selling artists worldwide were Creed and Evanescence. Produced by Johnny K, the song was released on March 28, 2012 and reached #16 on the Mainstream Rock chart in October 2012. Background The song was marketed by students at Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma. Starting in February 2012, Trey Rick, the coordinator of academic operations for the Academy of Contemporary Music located at the University of Central Oklahoma, decided to take an alternative path from what is usually undertaken in his "Music Marketing and Retail 2" course.
