''The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown!'' is a 2015 American direct-to-video animation, animated film starring The Flintstones. It is the second co-production between Warner Bros. Animation and WWE Studios following ''Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery''. The film features Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble and the whole Bedrock (The Flintstones), Bedrock gang with stone age versions of WWE Superstars and Divas. It was released on March 10, 2015, by Warner Home Video. It is the first new Flintstones production in over 14 years since ''The Flintstones: On the Rocks'', 55 years after the original 1960s series and also the first Flintstones film without the original creators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, who both died respectively in 2001 and 2006. Austin Wintory (born September 9, 1984) is an American composer for film and video games. He is known for scoring the video games '' Flow'' and ''Journey'', which made history as the only video game soundtrack to be nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Russi Taylor (May 4, 1944 – July 26, 2019) was an American voice actress. She is best remembered as the official voice of Minnie Mouse from 1986 to 2019, and was notably married to voice actor Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, until his death on May 18, 2009. John Stephenson (actor)
John Winfield Stephenson (August 9, 1923 – May 15, 2015) was an American actor, most active in voice-over roles. He has also been credited as John Stevenson. Stephenson never gave any interviews and was rarely seen in public, although he did make an appearance at BotCon 2001. Early life Stephenson was from Kenosha, Wisconsin, the oldest son of Ray and Martha Stephenson. He went to Ripon College and was active in campus drama. Stephenson wanted to be a lawyer and studied at the University of Wisconsin Law School. After serving in the United States Army Air Forces, as a gunner and radio operator, during World War II, John Stephenson graduated from Northwestern University with a master's degree in Speech and Drama in 1948. Bedrock is the fictional town located in prehistory that is home to the characters of the hit animated television series ''The Flintstones''. Barney Rubble is a fictional character who appears in the television animated series ''The Flintstones''. He is the diminutive, blond-haired caveman husband of Betty Rubble and adoptive father of Bamm-Bamm Rubble. His best friend is his next door neighbor, Fred. Barney's personality was based on that of Ed Norton on the 1950s television series ''The Honeymooners'', played by Art Carney.
