Stocker Fontelieu
Charles Stocker Fontelieu (May 5, 1923 – December 14, 2009) was an American actor, director and producer who participated in more than 470 stage productions. Career Fontelieu was recognized for his involvement in the local theatre in New Orleans for over 60 years, including being executive director of Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre from 1961 to 1985. A biography on his half-century career, ''Just Who is Stocker Fontelieu?'' by Michael P. Cahill, was published in 2007. In addition to his stage work, Fontelieu also appeared in several feature and TV films. ''Live and Let Die'' is a 1973 spy film, the eighth film in the ''James Bond'' series produced by Eon Productions, the first to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond, and the third in the series directed by Guy Hamilton. ''Mandingo'' is a 1975 American historical melodrama film that focuses on the Atlantic slave trade in the Antebellum South. The film's title refers to the Mandinka people, who are referred to as "Mandingos", and described as being good slaves for fighting matches. The word is also used as a pejorative to describe a hypersexual Black man. Produced by Dino De Laurentiis for Paramount Pictures, the film was directed by Richard Fleischer. ''Obsession'' is a 1976 American neo-noir psychological thriller film directed by Brian De Palma, starring Cliff Robertson, Geneviève Bujold, and John Lithgow. The screenplay was written by Paul Schrader, from a story by De Palma and Schrader. Bernard Herrmann provided the film's soundtrack before his death in 1975.
