Stigma (luchador)
Stigma is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a '' tecnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. Stigma's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. While his real name is not public knowledge it has been confirmed that he is the brother of CMLL wrestler Skándalo, son of former wrestler El Jabato and grandson of Manuel Robles, making him a third-generation wrestler. Personal life Stigma is the son of Benjamin Mar who used to wrestle under the ring name El Jabato. Javier Esparza Coronado (born August 11, 1953) is a Mexican retired ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler, currently working as a match maker for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Esparza is best known under the ring name Franco Columbo, a name he uses even after retiring from wrestling. Professional wrestling career Esparza was trained for his professional wrestling career by legendary Mexican wrestling trainer Diablo Velazco before making his debut in 1975 as "Franco Columbo". Due to Velazco's connections to Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL), Mexico's largest and the world's oldest professional wrestling promotion, Columbo landed job with EMLL only a few years after making his debut. Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. The ''Torneo Gran Alternativa'' (2013) was a professional wrestling tournament event produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) that took place from April 12 until April 26, 2013 over the course of two ''CMLL Super Viernes'' shows, with the finals on the Arena Mexico 57th Anniversary Show. The '' Torneo Gran Alternativa'' (Spanish for "the Great Alternative tournament) concept sees a ''Novato'' or rookie team up with an experienced wrestler for a tag team tournament. In October 2012 the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) held four CMLL Super Viernes shows, all of which took take place in Arena México on Friday nights. Some of the matches from Super Viernes were taped for CMLL's weekly shows that air in Mexico the week following the Super Viernes show.
