CMLL Super Viernes (October 2012)
In October 2012 the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) held four CMLL Super Viernes shows, all of which took take place in Arena México on Friday nights. Some of the matches from Super Viernes were taped for CMLL's weekly shows that air in Mexico the week following the Super Viernes show. The shows featured various professional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines. Wrestlers portray either villains (referred to as "''rudos''" in Mexico) or fan favorites ("''technicos''" in Mexico) as they follow a series of tension-building events, which culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Professional Wrestling
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Rush (wrestler)
William Arturo Muñoz González (born September 29, 1988) is a Mexican ''luchador'' (Spanish for professional wrestler), known under the ring name Rush ( ). He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is best known for his time performing for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) as well as the U.S. based Ring of Honor (ROH). Muñoz's father Arturo Muñoz is also a professional wrestler, most recently known under the ring name La Bestia del Ring. William's younger brothers are also professional wrestlers, using the ring names Dralístico and Dragon Lee. While most luchadors portray clear cut good guys or bad guys in the ring, Rush portrays a character that straddles that divide, his in-ring actions is often chaotic or brawling, with tendencies to cheat but is still popular with the fans. Stigma (luchador)
Stigma is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a '' tecnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. Stigma's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. While his real name is not public knowledge it has been confirmed that he is the brother of CMLL wrestler Skándalo, son of former wrestler El Jabato and grandson of Manuel Robles, making him a third-generation wrestler. Tag Team
Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Tag teams may be made up of wrestlers who normally wrestle in singles competition, but more commonly are made of established teams who wrestle regularly as a unit and have a team name and identity. In most team matches, only one competitor per team is allowed in the ring at a time. This status as the active or legal wrestler may be transferred by physical contact, most commonly a palm-to-palm tag which resembles a high five. Professional Wrestling Tag Team Match Types
Much like the singles match, tag team professional wrestling matches can and have taken many forms. Just about any singles or melee match type can be adapted to tag teams; for example, hardcore tag team matches are commonplace. Tag team ladder match and variations are also frequently used as a title feud blow-off match. Stipulations, such as " I quit" or " loser leaves town" may also be applied. Último Guerrero
José Gutiérrez Hernández (born March 1, 1972), better known by his ring name Último Guerrero (Spanish for ''Last Warrior''), is a Mexico, Mexican (or Professional wrestling, professional wrestler), who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He is not related to the ''lucha libre'' legend Gory Guerrero or any of his children; "Guerrero" in this case is the Spanish word for warrior and not the surname of the character. On September 19, 2014, Último Guerrero lost a ''Lucha de Apuestas'' match to Atlantis (wrestler), Atlantis, after which he was forced to unmask and reveal his birth name. Euforia (born December 5, 1974) is the ring name of a second-generation Mexican ''luchador'' '' Enmascarado'', (or masked professional wrestler), currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Euforia's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. ''Los Guerreros Laguneros'' (Spanish language, Spanish for "The Warriors from the Lagoon") is a ''lucha libre'' Glossary of professional wrestling terms#Stable, stable based in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The stable was created in 2001 and has, since its inception, been led by Último Guerrero and has been the top ''Heel (professional wrestling), rudo'' stable in CMLL. ''Los Guerreros Laguneros'' currently consists of Último Guerrero, his younger brother Gran Guerrero and Templario. Fabián Núñez Napoles (born January 20, 1979) is a Mexican ''luchador'' (professional wrestler), better known by the ring name Rey Escorpión. He is currently working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he portrays a ''rudo'' or bad guy character.
