Stian Bam
Stian Bam (born 27 May 1977), is a Namibia-born South African actor. He is best known for the roles in the films ''Verraaiers'', ''Blood and Glory'', ''My Father's War'' and ''The Story of Racheltjie De Beer''. Personal life Bam was born on 27 May 1977 in Walvis Bay, Namibia. Both his mother and father were teachers. He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor's degree in drama and theatre. In 2006, he won the Fleur du Cap Award for Most Promising Student. He is married to Truda Serfontein, a jeweler, where the wedding was celebrated on 28 March 2009. The couple has one boy: Sofia and one girl: Jannes. They later divorced in 2020. Walvis Bay
Walvis Bay ( en, lit. Whale Bay; af, Walvisbaai; ger, Walfischbucht or Walfischbai) is a city in Namibia and the name of the bay on which it lies. It is the second largest city in Namibia and the largest coastal city in the country. The city covers a total area of of land. The bay is a safe haven for sea vessels because of its natural deepwater harbour, protected by the Pelican Point sand spit, being the only natural harbour of any size along the country's coast. Being rich in plankton and marine life, these waters also drew large numbers of southern right whales, attracting whalers and fishing vessels. A succession of colonists developed the location and resources of this strategic harbour settlement. The harbour's value in relation to the sea route around the Cape of Good Hope had caught the attention of world powers since it was discovered by the outside world in 1485. 7de Laan
''7de Laan'' is a South African Afrikaans soap opera created by Danie Odendaal and produced by Danie Odendaal Productions. The series focuses on the lives of residents staying in and around the community of 7de Laan (7th Avenue), in the suburb of Hillside. The programme's dialogue is primarily in Afrikaans and is subtitled in English with some English and Zulu dialogue in between. The street and shopfronts which are featured on the opening visuals, are that of Seventh Street in Melville, Johannesburg. History Odendaal originally conceived of the series when he was a resident of the Melville section of Johannesburg. At the time, Odendaal would watch the people of his community over breakfast and a cup of coffee at his favourite coffee shop. He would make up fictitious characters based on what he saw.
