Stewart McLaurin
Stewart McLaurin is an author and non-profit executive who is now the president of the White House Historical Association. Background McLaurin is the son of Stewart Parnell McLaurin and Gwendolyn McLaurin (née Stafford). An Alabama native, McLaurin attended Shades Valley High School and the University of Alabama. Active in philanthropic management, from 1989 to 2014, McLaurin has held senior positions with the Mount Vernon estate, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, the Motion Picture Association, Georgetown University, the American Village Citizenship Trust, and the American Red Cross. After leaving the American Red Cross, McLaurin went to work for the 2000 presidential campaign of Elizabeth Dole. Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is the repository of presidential records from the administration of Ronald Reagan, the 40th president of the United States, and the burial place of the president and first lady, Nancy Reagan. It is the largest of the 13 federally operated presidential libraries, containing millions of documents, photographs, films and tapes. There is a permanent exhibit covering Ronald Reagan's life, as well as memorabilia such as Air Force One, the aircraft personally used by the president, and a section of masonry from the Berlin Wall. Mount Vernon Estate
Mount Vernon is an American landmark and former plantation of Founding Father, commander of the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War, and the first president of the United States George Washington and his wife, Martha. The estate is on the banks of the Potomac River in Fairfax County, Virginia. It is located south of Washington, D.C., and Alexandria, Virginia, and is across the river from Prince George's County, Maryland. The Washington family acquired land in the area in 1674.
