Stephen Patrick Hunt (born 1 August 1981) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a winger for played for Crystal Palace, Brentford, Reading, Hull City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ipswich Town and Coventry City. At international level, he made 39 appearances scoring once for the Republic of Ireland national team. His younger brother, Noel, is also a footballer. Club career Early years Hunt became known for his creative and skilful play as well as his work rate as a winger. Although born in Laois, Hunt grew up in Clonea-Power, Waterford. Stephen James Hunt (born 11 November 1984) is an English retired footballer. He played as a defender. Early life He was born in Southampton. Hunt started his career as a trainee at his hometown club. Football career After 10 years at the club, he left for Colchester United before making a first team appearance. The start of his Colchester career came when he was sent off 59 seconds into his debut against Chesterfield. He scored his first and only goal for Colchester in a 5–0 win over Walsall. He didn't appear often in Colchester's 2005–06 promotion run-in, making only two substitute appearances, but started three games in the cups. As a result, he was sold to Notts County in June 2006. Music career In 1977, Hunt graduated from Brazoswood High School in Clute, Texas. He then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated in 1980. Later, Hunt returned to Berklee, where he is an instructor in the piano department. While recording and performing in the Boston area with his Berklee contemporaries Randy Roos and Tiger Okoshi, Hunt also performed with Peter Calo's bands Bellvista, and Thin Ice. During 1985, he toured with fusion drummer Billy Cobham. From late 1985 to 1987, he served as musical director for the Jazz Explosion.
