Steven Ellery Racing
Steven Ellery Racing was an Australia motorsport team which contested several series in its home country, including as the Supercheap Auto Racing V8 Supercar team. The team ceased operations at the end of 2005, with the lead driver Steven Ellery moving to Triple Eight Race Engineering for the 2005 season. History Formed in 1992 by Bruce Ellery for his son's racing ambitions, Steven Ellery Racing was a team that lasted over a decade in Australian racing. The team ran Formula Ford a Van Diemen in 1992, expanding to a second car in 1993 for Garry Gosatti. The team moved into the Australian Super Touring Championship in 1994 with an ex Glenn Seton Racing Ford Sierra, before upgrading to a Tony Longhurst Racing BMW 318i in 1995. 2005 Holden Performance Driving Centre V8 Supercar Series
The 2005 Holden Performance Driving Centre V8 Supercar Series was an Australian touring car series held for V8 Supercars. It was the sixth series held for second tier V8 Supercars competitors. The season began on 18 March 2005 at Wakefield Park and finished on 27 November at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The season consisted of seven rounds held across four different states. The series was expanded for 2005, incorporating the previously stand-alone support race at Bathurst 1000 into a series round and adding a finale on the support program of the Bigpond Grand Finale. Dean Canto, driving for Dick Johnson Racing's two car team, dominated the expanded series, winning ten races, and five of the seven rounds, which made Canto the first multiple winner of the series and directly led to a full-time return to V8 Supercar Championship Series with Garry Rogers Motorsport. __NOTOC__ Geoff Brabham (born 20 March 1952) is an Australian racing driver. Brabham spent the majority of his racing career in the United States. Racing career CART He raced successfully in CART early in his career, finishing 8th in 1982, 1984 and 1987 with nine podiums. In ten appearances in the Indianapolis 500, he had a best result of fourth in 1983 and fifth in 1981. Sports car racing His greatest source of success was in various forms of sports cars, winning four IMSA GTP titles (1988–1991) when racing for Nissan, and one Can-Am championship (1981). Paul Stokell
Paul Stokell (born 8 March 1968 in Tasmania) is an Australian racing driver. Highly decorated in every category he has competed, Stokell has been a race and multiple championship winning driver in open wheel, sportscar racing and tarmac rallying, consistently since the early 1990s and remains so today having won back to back Australian Targa Championship in 2018/2019. Mark Porter (racing Driver)
Mark "Didley" Porter (2 October 1974 – 8 October 2006) was a New Zealand racing driver who competed in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar touring car racing series in Australia. His V8 Supercar series debut was in a Ford Falcon at Wakefield Park in 2002, and he debuted in the Bathurst 1000 the same year. Racing death In the 2006 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, Porter drove a Hyundai/Hydraulink sponsored Holden VZ Commodore for the M-Sport team. Porter was third in the championship point standings after 14 races of the 18 race season, when the competition moved to the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales for a weekend of races in the Fujitsu and other series. The 2003 Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 was a motor race for V8 Supercars held on 12 October 2003 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst, New South Wales, Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It was the seventh running of the Australia 1000 race, first held after the organisational split over the Bathurst 1000 that occurred in 1997.
