Steve Paulding
Steven C Paulding is a Welsh former competitive track cyclist and British Cycling track team manager. He lived in Scotland for many years, and has worked for sportscotland, the Scottish Government, Scottish Golf and currently works for British Athletics in Loughborough. He represented Wales in the 1986 and 1990 Commonwealth Games. He now lives in Leicestershire and married the commonwealth cyclist Julie Anne Forrester in October 2001. City Of Edinburgh Racing Club
The City of Edinburgh Racing Club is a cycling club based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The club is said to be the most successful club in British track cycling; its members having won numerous national and international medals. Formation The club was formed in November 1982 with affiliation to the East of Scotland Cycling Association and the Scottish Cyclists Union. The club was formed by Brian Annable in response to a lack of Scottish success in cycling. Success at the junior level in 1982 had led to the belief that, with specialised coaching, training and competition, success at British and International mince level could be achievable. At the time no such provision was available to Scottish cyclists and the club was formed with the intention of meeting that need. British National Track Championships
The British National Track Championships are held annually and organised by British Cycling (formerly the British Cycling Federation). The main events are various track cycling disciplines for elite athletes to determine the British national champions. However, competitions are also held in age and disability categories. Until 1994 both amateur and professionals could take part in the 'Open' events, in addition to specific events that were restricted to either. The modern era is considered to have started in 1994 eventually replacing the amateur era. In November 1994, British Cycling moved its headquarters to the National Cycling Centre, Manchester, which held been opened earlier in the year by Princess Anne. Julie Paulding
Julie Anne Paulding née Forrester (born 4 May 1969, Prenton, Birkenhead) is an English competitive track cyclist who won silver in the 500m Time Trial at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. She had taken up cycling four years previously having been forced to give up her previous sport due to injury. Paulding is now a development officer for Scottish Cycling. She lives in Manchester and married Steve Paulding in October 2001.
