Steve Crosby (music)
Steve Crosby is a British record producer, songwriter and music manager. He is best known for creating the group Steps. Crosby started his career DJing at the age of 17 and, from there, he bought and ran a record shop. Crosby then moved into corporate entertainment and it was not long before he turned his hand to developing and managing bands. His best-known acts are pop sensation Steps. Crosby wrote songs for Steps such as "5,6,7,8". He also co-wrote Fast Food Rockers' " The Fast Food Song" with Mike Stock and Sandy Rass. Crosby also co-wrote "That Sounds Good to Me" (which was the British entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest) with Pete Waterman and Mike Stock, performed by Josh Dubovie. It is a techno-pop and country pop song written by Barry Upton and Steve Crosby, and produced by Karl Twigg, Mark Topham and Pete Waterman. It was released as their debut single in November 1997 following their being put together after each group member responded to a magazine advert looking for people to audition to be in a pop band. "5,6,7,8" peaked at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart—one of Steps' lowest chart positions—but has become the third-best-selling single of their career in the United Kingdom, selling 365,000 copies and receiving 3,440,000 streams as of March 2017. Alton Towers Resort
Alton Towers Resort ( ) (often referred to as Alton Towers) is a theme park and resort complex in Staffordshire, England, near the village of Alton. The park is operated by Merlin Entertainments Group and incorporates a theme park, water park, spa, mini golf and hotel complex. Originally a private estate of the Earls of Shrewsbury, Alton Towers' grounds were opened to the public in 1860 to raise funds. In the late 20th century, it was transformed into a theme park and opened a number of new rides from 1980 onwards. Pete Waterman
Peter Alan Waterman, (born 15 January 1947) is an English record producer, songwriter, radio and club DJ, television presenter, president of Coventry Bears rugby league club and a keen railway enthusiast. As a member of the Stock Aitken Waterman songwriting team, he wrote and produced many hit singles. He is the owner of significant collections of both historic and commercial railway locomotives and rolling stock. Early life Peter Alan Waterman was born in Stoke Heath, Coventry, Warwickshire. He was educated at Whitley Abbey Comprehensive School until he left in 1962 to work for British Railways. He became a steam locomotive fireman based at Wolverhampton (Stafford Road) depot. Sandy Rass is a British government statistician and a British songwriter/producer of Fast Food Rockers and others, and a singer, dancer and actor. He was born in London and trained at the Royal Ballet School for 3 years and then at Italia Conti Academy for a further 3 years as a singer/dancer/actor. Michael Stock (born 3 December 1951) is an English songwriter, record producer, musician, and member of the songwriting and production trio Stock Aitken Waterman.
