2010 Eurovision Song Contest
The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the 55th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Oslo, Norway, following the country's victory at the with the song "Fairytale" by Alexander Rybak. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK), the contest was held at the Telenor Arena, and consisted of two semi-finals on 25 and 27 May, and a final on 29 May 2010, tying with the 1999 edition for the contest hosted the latest. The three live shows were presented by Norwegian television presenters Erik Solbakken and Nadia Hasnaoui and singer Haddy N'jie. Thirty-nine countries took part in the contest, with Georgia returning after its one-year absence. Telenor Arena
Telenor Arena, sometimes referred to as Fornebu Arena, is a multi-purpose indoor arena located at Fornebu in Bærum, outside Oslo, Norway. It serves as a venue for a variety of events, including concerts, exhibitions, action shows, family shows, TV and sport. It has a capacity for 15,000 spectators for sports and 25,000 for concerts, including 40 luxury boxes and club seating for 1,200. The venue has a fixed roof and an asphalt floor. The venue was opened ahead of the 2009 Norwegian football season as a replacement for Nadderud Stadion. It cost 585 million Norwegian kroner (NOK) to build, of which NOK 300 million was for the sports venue. The arena will host the 2025 World Men's Handball Championship with the country, Croatia and Denmark including the final. Hungary has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 17 times since making its debut in . Hungary attempted to participate in but failed to qualify from ''Kvalifikacija za Millstreet'', a special qualifying competition set up for seven former Eastern Bloc countries. Azerbaijan participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song " Drip Drop" written by Anders Bagge, Stefan Örn and Sandra Bjurman. The song was performed by Safura. The Azerbaijani Eurovision entrant for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway was selected through ''Land of Fire 2010'', organised by the Azerbaijani broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV). Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song " In a Moment like This" written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson and Erik Bernholm. The song was performed by Chanée and N'evergreen. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010'' in order to select the Danish entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. Ten songs competed in a televised show where the winner was selected over three rounds of voting. The results of the first round were decided upon through the combination of jury voting and public voting while the results in the second and third round were determined solely by public televoting. Turkey participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "We Could Be the Same" written by Evren Ozdemir, Fiona Movery Akıncı and Manga. The song was performed by Manga. Germany won the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, which was held in May 2010 in Oslo, Norway. The country's entry was selected in a series of competitive heats and a national final – ''Unser Star für Oslo'' – which was organised jointly by the public broadcasters ARD and NDR and the private television channel ProSieben, together with the three-time Eurovision participant for Germany (as singer and/or songwriter) and music producer, Stefan Raab.
