Steve Bieda
Steven Marion Bieda (born January 21, 1961) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who is the Assistant Democratic Floor Leader of the Michigan State Senate. Bieda has served in the Michigan Senate since 2011, representing the 9th district, which includes the communities of Center Line, Eastpointe, Fraser, Roseville, Warren, and portions of Clinton Township and Grosse Pointe Shores. In December 2017, Bieda announced he would seek election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, representing Michigan's 9th Congressional District. He ultimately lost the nomination to now incumbent representative Andy Levin. Early life, education, and career Bieda was raised in Warren, Michigan, and attended Cousino High School. Michigan's 9th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Paul Wojno since 2019, succeeding fellow Democrat Steve Bieda. Roseville, Michigan
Roseville is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan, and is a part of the Metro Detroit area. The population was 47,299 at the 2010 census. Until 1958, Roseville was a part of Erin Township. History The first permanent post office in the area was established in 1840 by William Rose who named it the Roseville Post Office in honor of his father Dennison Rose, a veteran of the War of 1812. The Village of Roseville was incorporated in 1926 and the Municipal Building was constructed in 1929 at Gratiot Avenue and Meier Road. This replaced the Erin Township Building that was built near the corner of 11 Mile Road and Gratiot in 1886. The 1929 building housed administrative offices as well as the police and fire departments until the 1960s when separate police and fire stations were constructed. The Michigan House of Representatives is the lower house of the Michigan Legislature. There are 110 members, each of whom is elected from constituencies having approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents, based on population figures from the 2010 U.S. Census. Andrew Saul Levin (born August 10, 1960) is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Levin was elected to the House in 2018, succeeding his retiring father, Sander Levin. He is the nephew of Carl Levin, a former U.S. senator. Early life and education Levin was born on August 10, 1960, to Jewish parents Sander Levin and Vicki Schlafer. Sander was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1982. Michigan's 9th congressional district is a United States congressional district located in parts of Oakland County and Macomb County in the southeast areas of the State of Michigan.
