Steve Addington
Steven J. Addington (born July 4, 1964) is an American NASCAR crew chief who works for RSS Racing as a crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In 2023, he is primarily crew chiefing their No. 38 Ford Mustang driven by Joe Graf Jr. (although the car was instead driven by Ryan Sieg at Daytona in February and he instead crew chiefed the team's No. 28 Ford Mustang driven by Alex Labbé at Fontana and Las Vegas in March). He has won 20 NASCAR Cup Series races and 11 Xfinity Series races as a crew chief. Addington started his crew chiefing career in 1993 in the Xfinity Series when it was known as the NASCAR Busch Series for Jason Keller's own team, KEL Racing. In 1997, he left for Billy Ballew Motorsports in the Truck Series and came back to Keller's No. 57 car in 1999, now owned by Progressive Motorsports/ppc Racing. Kurt Thomas Busch (born August 4, 1978) is an American professional auto racing driver. He last competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 45 Toyota Camry TRD for 23XI Racing. He is the 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion and the 2017 Daytona 500 winner. He is the older brother of two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch. David B. Rogers (born March 12, 1974) is an American NASCAR crew chief who works as the performance director for 23XI Racing. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. The series is one of three national divisions of NASCAR, ranking as the third tier behind the second-tier NASCAR Xfinity Series and the top level NASCAR Cup Series. Chase For The Cup
The NASCAR playoffs is a championship playoff system used in NASCAR's three national series. The system was founded as 'The Chase for the Championship' on January 21, 2004, and was used exclusively in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2004 to 2015. Since 2016, NASCAR has also used the playoff system in the Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series. The NASCAR Cup Series version of the playoff system is often called the Chase for the Cup, and includes sixteen drivers that compete for the championship in the final ten races of the Cup Series. The first nine races are divided into three rounds, with four participants being eliminated after each round. The Xfinity Series Chase format is competed over seven races with twelve drivers. Atlanta Motor Speedway
Atlanta Motor Speedway (formerly known Atlanta International Raceway from 1960 to 1990) is a 1.54-mile entertainment facility in Hampton, Georgia, United States, 20 miles (32 km) south of Atlanta. It has annually hosted NASCAR Cup Series stock car races since its inauguration in 1960. The venue was bought by Speedway Motorsports in 1990. In 1994, 46 condominiums were built over the northeastern side of the track. In 1997, to standardize the track with Speedway Motorsports' other two intermediate ovals, the entire track was almost completely rebuilt.
