Sterlington High School
Ouachita Parish School Board is a school district headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana, United States. The district serves Ouachita Parish except for areas within the City of Monroe; those areas are instead served by the Monroe City School System. Neal Lane "Lanny" Johnson, the superintendent for the Franklin Parish School Board in Winnsboro is a former superintendent in Ouachita Parish. Johnson also served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 1976-1980. He was defeated in a bid for the State Senate in the 1979 nonpartisan blanket primary. Dan Richey, then of Ferriday, won the seat after Johnson, a Democrat, was eliminated in the primary. Marc Swayze
Marcus Desha Swayze, known as Marc Swayze (July 17, 1913 – October 14, 2012), was an American comic book artist from 1941 to 1953 for Fawcett Comics of New York City. West Monroe High School is a high school in West Monroe, Louisiana, United States. It is administered by the Ouachita Parish School Board. WMHS is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school's mascot is The Rebel Man. Richwood High School is a public high school in unincorporated Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States, south of the City of Richwood. It is a part of the Ouachita Parish School Board. Ouachita Parish High School is a high school located in unincorporated Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States, near Monroe. It is administrated by the Ouachita Parish School Board. Richwood is a town in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States. The Town was incorporated December 31, 1974, under the provision of Louisiana Revised Statute 33:52. West Monroe is a city in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is situated on the Ouachita River, across from the neighboring city of Monroe. The two cities are often referred to as the Twin Cities of northeast Louisiana. Its population was 13,065 at the 2010 census and it is part of the Monroe Metropolitan Statistical Area. The mayor is Staci Albritton Mitchell. History Originally laid out in 1837 as Byron by John Campbell at the foot of the ferry landing to Monroe, the town floundered and Campbell went bankrupt.
