Steps (band)
Steps are a British dance-pop group consisting of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian "H" Watkins. Steps were formed in May 1997 and achieved a series of charting singles between 1997 and 2001 including two number-one singles in the UK (one a double A-side), two number-one albums in the UK, 14 consecutive top 5 singles in the UK and a string of hits throughout Europe. The group has sold over 22 million records worldwide in addition to acquiring a BRIT Award nomination in 1999 for Best Newcomer while supporting Britney Spears on tour the same year. When Richards and Watkins departed to form a recording duo, the group disbanded on 26 December 2001. Their penultimate single reached number five in the UK charts while their final album of greatest hits, ''Gold'' (2001), was the group's second number-one album in the UK. The Party on the Dancefloor Tour was the eighth concert tour by British group Steps (group), Steps. It was launched in support of their fifth studio album, ''Tears on the Dancefloor'' (2017) and its Tears on the Dancefloor: Crying at the Disco, subsequent deluxe edition. It began on 12 November 2017 in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the SSE Arena, Belfast, SSE Arena and concluded on 10 December 2017 in Cardiff, Wales at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena. A-side
The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. The A-side usually features a recording that its artist, producer, or record company intends to be the initial focus of promotional efforts and radio airplay and hopefully become a hit record. The B-side (or "flip-side") is a secondary recording that typically receives less attention, although some B-sides have been as successful as, or more so than, their A-sides. Background and release On 7 September 2020, Steps announced that they would release their sixth album ''What the Future Holds'' on 27 November, preceded by its title track, in addition to embarking on a United Kingdom arena tour in 2021. In a message released online, the group stated "We couldn't keep it a secret any longer!" It is their first album to be released with their new record label based in the United States, BMG. The song "What the Future Holds" premiered on Zoe Ball's ''The Radio 2 Breakfast Show'' on 8 September and was released as the lead single the same day on download and streaming platforms. ''What the Future Holds'' is the sixth studio album by the British group Steps and was their first album to be released with their new record label BMG on 27 November 2020. They had originally intended to release the project in the Spring, however the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and imposing of lockdown resulted in a temporary delay of promotion. The album was preceded by singles "What the Future Holds" and "Something in Your Eyes". Promotional tracks "Under My Skin", "Hold My Heart" and "To the Beat of My Heart" were also released, the latter becoming the album's third single in January 2021. ''Tears on the Dancefloor'' is the fifth studio album by British group Steps. It was released on 21 April 2017, by Absolute and Fascination Records. The album is the group's first album in five years since ''Light Up the World'', and their first proper album since ''Buzz'' in 2000. Following two years of planning, recording began in October 2016. The Alias was enlisted to serve as the executive producer for ''Tears on the Dancefloor'' and various songwriters submitted songs for the group to record, including Steve Mac, Ina Wroldsen, TMS and Fiona Bevan. It also features a cover version of "Story of a Heart" by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of ABBA, a cover of "I Will Love Again" by Lara Fabian as well as a cover of "No More Tears on the Dancefloor" by Anders, Fahrenkrog, from which the album's title is derived. ''The Ultimate Collection'' is the second greatest hits album released by pop group Steps. The album was released on 10 October 2011 through Sony Music Entertainment. The album was released to mark the tenth anniversary of the group's split back in 2001 alongside the groups reformation. The album features Steps' first recording in ten years, a cover of the ABBA hit "Dancing Queen". The album debuted at number one in the United Kingdom selling 34,000 copies within its first week. On 22 July 2013, the album was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry selling over 100,000 copies in the United Kingdom. The album was certified platinum for sales over 300,000 on 13 March 2020. Sky Living
Sky Living was a British pay television channel owned and operated by Sky. The channel's programming was aimed mainly at women and young adults. It originally launched as UK Living in 1993 and closed 25 years later, being replaced by Sky Witness.
