Stephen Kennedy (actor)
Stephen Kennedy (born 17 June 1970) is a Northern Irish actor from County Tyrone. He was educated at St. Colman's High School, Strabane. He is perhaps best known for his role in the BBC Radio 4 series ''The Archers'', as Ian Craig. He has appeared on stage in ''Tamburlaine'' (2005), '' The Birthday Party'', (2006), ''The Agent'' (2007), ''Mother Courage and her Children at The National Theatre (2009)''. ''Making Waves'' is a British television drama series produced by Carlton Television for ITV. It was created by Ted Childs and chronicles the professional and personal lives of the crew of the Royal Navy frigate . The series remained in development hell for several years and was first broadcast on 7July 2004. However, due to low ratings it was removed from the schedules after only three episodes, the remainder of the series going unaired on television in the United Kingdom. ''The Hanging Gale'' is a four-episode television serial which first aired on RTÉ One (Republic of Ireland) and BBC1 (United Kingdom) in 1995. The series was a British–Irish co-production, made by Little Bird Films for BBC Northern Ireland in association with Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), with support from the Irish Film Board. The serial, set in 1846 in County Donegal in the west of Ulster at the beginning of Ireland's Great Famine, starred the four McGann brothers: Joe McGann, Paul McGann, Mark McGann and Stephen McGann, and was based on an original idea by Joe and Stephen McGann while researching their family's history. The original story revolved around a young English Roman Catholic priest as he became part of a rural community.
