Stella (comedy Group)
Stella is a comedy trio consisting of Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black, and David Wain. The group formed in 1997 as a weekly nightclub comedy attraction, performing at New York City nightclub Club Fez, Fez from 1997 until the club's closing in February 2005. Stella soon gained a wider cult following after a series of self-produced shorts were released in limited quantities on DVD. Now known for their unique blend of potentially mainstream comedy and surrealist humor, Stella has garnered a small but dedicated fanbase. Beginnings Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black and David Wain met at New York University where they all participated in the school's improv comedy group, Sterile Yak. Other members of Sterile Yak include Thomas Lennon (actor), Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Robert Ben Garant, and Joe Lo Truglio (''Reno 911!''). ''Stella'' is a British comedy-drama set in the Welsh valleys that aired on Sky One from 2012 to 2017. The Stellas
The Stellas are a married Canadian country music duo from Whitby, Ontario. They finished in fourth place on the second season of the CMT series ''Can You Duet'' in 2009. Their self-titled debut album was released by EMI Music Canada in September 2011. The first single was a cover of the Fairground Attraction's song " Perfect". In July 2014, the duo released "Gravy", which doubles as the first single off their second album. Stella (band)
Stella was formed in Joensuu, Finland in 2002. The band quickly managed a deal with Sony Records and released their first album ''Kuuntelija'' in 2004. The album only became a modest seller and soon after the band was moved to Elements Music label. Success came to the band after Katri Ylander, a contestant on the ''Idols (Finland), Idols'', performed a cover of "Piste." from Stella's first album. This led Stella in to the media and popularity as both the music press and public waited for their second release. The second album, ''Pelkääjän Paikalla'', was released in 2006, debuting at number 5 on Finnish album charts. ''Stella'' is the fourth studio album by the Swiss electronic band Yello, first released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on 29 January 1985, and in the UK and US in March 1985. It was the first album made by the band without founder member Carlos Perón, and with his departure the remaining duo of Boris Blank and Dieter Meier began to move away from experimental electronic sounds towards a more commercial synthpop and cinematic soundtrack style.
