Steiger Tractor
Steiger is a tractor brand that is manufactured in the United States. The Steiger Tractor Company was founded in the 1950s by Douglass Steiger and Maurice Steiger, brothers who were farmers near Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. The Steigers first built a tractor in their workshop for their own use out of truck components, before beginning broader manufacturing and marketing of tractors in the United States and Canada. The tractor brand was acquired by Case IH in 1986, who continued production of tractor models under the name Steiger. History The tractor division of Steiger Farms was moved to Fargo, North Dakota, in 1969. It was acquired by Case IH in 1986, which later became part of Italy's FIAT Group. Case STX Steiger
The Case STX Steiger is a tractor line built by Case IH. This line continues the models built by Steiger Tractor, which was purchased by Case IH in 1986. The tractors are built in Case IH's plant in Fargo, North Dakota, where already 50,000 units of this line were built as of September 2005. This tractor line is powered by engines with 405 to 682 hp. They are available in wheeled, Quadtrac, and row-crop Rowtrac configurations, and are very closely related to the New Holland T9 range. In 2005, the STX500 Quadtrac tractor set a new Ploughing World Record. The machine ploughed 321ha in just 24 hours, led by Jean Imbert who drove the tractor. Red Lake Falls, Minnesota
Red Lake Falls is a city in Red Lake County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,339 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Red Lake County. The city lies in the middle of Red Lake Falls Township, from which it was separated when incorporated as a village in 1881. Its status was raised to that of a city in 1898.
