Stefy Bau
Stefy Bau is an Italian former professional motocross and supercross racer. After a career-ending injury in 2005, Stefy became the General Manager of the newly established FIM Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme Women's World Motocross Championship. Bau is also a member of the CFM (Women Commission inside the FIM Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme). As of 2019 she manages other racers, including Tanya Muzinda. Career Bau is considered to be one of the fastest women motocross racers in the world. In 2000 she became eligible to compete against the male racers in the field. She won three world championships, holds two WMX USA championships, and the Loretta Lynn AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship in addition to seven Italian Championships. In October 2005, Bau had the accident that ended her racing career. Motocross
Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. History Motocross first evolved in Britain from motorcycle trials competitions, such as the Auto-Cycle Clubs's first quarterly trial in 1909 and the Scottish Six Days Trial that began in 1912. When organisers dispensed with delicate balancing and strict scoring of trials in favour of a race to become the fastest rider to the finish, the activity became known as "hare scrambles", said to have originated in the phrase, "a rare old scramble" describing one such early race. Supercross
The AMA Supercross Championship (commercially known as Monster Energy AMA Supercross) is an American motorcycle racing series. Founded by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1974, the AMA Supercross Championship races are held from January through early May. Supercross is a variant of motocross which involves off-road motorcycles on a constructed dirt track consisting of steep jumps and obstacles; the tracks are usually constructed inside a sports stadium. The easy accessibility and comfort of these stadium venues helped supercross surpass off-road motocross as a spectator attraction in the United States by the late 1970s. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. Tanya Muzinda
Tanyaradzwa Adel Muzinda (born 31 August 2004) is a Zimbabwean Motocross rider. She was the first woman to win a motocross championship in Zimbabwe. Life Muzinda was born in Harare in 2004 and she began riding a motorbike when she was five encouraged by her enthusiastic father, Tawanda. Her mother is named Adiyon and she has three siblings. In 2017 she had a fall that damaged her hip and she had difficulty walking for several months. In the same year she competed in her first race overseas when she raced at the HL Racing British Master Kids Championships which was held at the Motoland track near Mildenhall. She enjoyed the race and came third. Motocross championships were first organized in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in 1957. No woman had ever won a championship until Muzinda won. ''Freekstyle'' is a 2002 motocross racing video game for the PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance. There are four levels of gameplay: the circuit, a quick race, freestyle, and free run. The game features an assortment of real-life FMX riders, which include Mike Metzger, Brian Deegan, Mike Jones, and Clifford Adoptante, as well as professional motocross riders, which include Stefy Bau, Jessica Patterson, and Greg Albertyn.
